Even though we lost the game, I'm grateful that Oklahoma State at least provided a bit of a distraction regarding the coaching search. Today is the last day of the Dolphins' season and the Nick Saban rumor machine is back in full force. According to the Mobile Press-Register:

Alabama officials could offer the coach a contract as early as this evening after Saban's Miami Dolphins wrap up their season on the road at the Indianapolis Colts. The game kicks off at 3:15 p.m.

Fox News is reporting that the Miami Dolphins might possibly seek tampering charges in court against Alabama if the Tide's interest in Saban drives him to ask for more money from Miami. (HT: Capstone Report)

This thing becomes a bigger circus by the day.

Make sure to get to Coleman Coliseum early tomorrow for the Crimson Tide's game against Oklahoma, the first 1,000 fans get Ronald Steele backpacks.

The ever popular gymnastics team starts their season on Friday, January 12th against Oklahoma at Coleman Coliseum. See their full schedule here.

Even gymnastics is football related at the Capstone

Keep an eye out for Cool Hand Mike in Tuscaloosa. He'll be the one with the bag of Quikrete out on the Quad near Denny Chimes.

I will be ringing in the New Year at Rojo. Birmingham's own Dan Sartain will be playing.

As for Saban - I am all for him coming, but I just hope Bama fans dont feel it is the end of the world if he doesn't. There are a few coaches out there who would excel in the UA atmosphere. We just need displine, direction, and focus, and we will be fine.
