Early Afternoon Randomness
- Today is the last day to send in questions for Anthony Madison. They need to be in by midnight. See my earlier post about this exciting opportunity for details on how to send in your question.
- Cecil hurt chimes in with an article on what might be called the "arms race" of college football...building bigger, better, recruit enticing, money generating stadiums.
- Florida is joining Vanderbilt in taking advantage of the new NCAA transfer rule allowing immediate eligibilty to players that have graduated but still have eligibility left and want to pursue post-graduate studies at another school. The transfer in question comes from Utah. Hmmmmmm? (HT: EDSBS)

Don't know how I missed that
I have no idea how I missed that on your blog. I typically check it daily. I guess I was mentally out to lunch yesterday!
Yeah, it's a weird rule. I knew the SEC in general was against it...but I don't really know why. If anything, we're the ones most likely to exploit it. The SEC has more players in the pros than any other conference and is all about getting an extra advantage.
I guess they were more narrowly focused on fearing "stealing" each others players than they were thinking about the benefit of the influx from smaller programs.
