Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Nutt to Ole Miss

Bumped from the diaries. The state of Mississippi just got a lot more competitive.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3129559

Just hours after leaving Arkansas Nutt agreed to take the Ole Miss job.  It says he meets the criteria they are looking for in a proven winner.   I'm not sure if he can carry  his winning at Arkansas over to Ole Miss, but they do have some good young talent there.  My guess is recruiting will probably not be as good as it was under Orgeron.  He might not be a good head coach, but the man sure can recruit.

Wonder where
Coach O will land. He can recruit like a mad man. Just can't seem to coach them.

I would imagine...
I would imagine he would assume something similar to his position at USC of DL coach / recruiting coordinator.

Even at Ole Miss, he recruited very well and his defensive line kicked butt. He just struggled to do everything else.

Ole Miss must have promised
a bunch of money and a news anchor!

This deal had to worked out long before announced
For Coach O to get fired after only 3 yrs and Nutt to take the job a few hrs after stepping down.  I bet they were in talks for weeks or months.  Leave it to Sexton.
I wouldn't piss off the boys from Alabama . . .

Sexton...
...is the Timbaland or Pharrel of the college football world...in that he's making it all happen. He is decidedly less cool and flashy though...and he doesn't get to hang out with Nelly Furtado and  Nicole Schleisinger.
Roll Tide!

Just a rumor...
I heard Nutt is looking at Shula for his O.C...not sure why he would do that, but interesting nonetheless

That would be GREAT
Saban could prepare his D for the jumbo package in the red zone - if they ever got that far.

Just what I was thinking...
the Jumbo package, does not get any easier to defend than that.
