Your RBR Word of the Day: Internecine

Stay connected for news and updates

internecine in-tuhr-NES-een; -NEE-syn; -NEE-sin, adjective:

  1. Of or relating to conflict within a nation, an organization, or a group.
  2. Mutually destructive; involving or accompanied by mutual slaughter.
  3. Deadly; destructive; marked by slaughter.

The internecine feuding between the good old boys in the athletic department, the wealthy boosters who think they have a say in Alabama football, and those legitimately trying to return the Crimson Tide to prominence will have to end before Alabama can return to the forefront of college football.
