'Bama Wins: 24-10
It's over in Nashville, and the Tide has rolled over Vanderbilt 24-10.
I'm going to take a break and watch some other games, and I'm going to get a post of general thoughts on the game up in the next few hours.
Roll Tide!
P.S. It's nice to see that me and Todd's embarrassing admissions were not in vein.

Roll Tide!

My thoughts:
- Terry Grant looked great as did our O-line. We should be able to run on anyone.
- JPW looked less than stellar. Hopefully he'll look sharp next week.
- Rolondo McClain is a wildman. I really like him.
- Our pass defense looks soft in the middle.
- A few less penalties by Vandy and this would have been a nailbiter.
Occasional RBR poster Dignan and I...
- It may as well have been a home game - I would estimate the stadium to have been approximately 65-70% Crimson. When the home team is very audibly booed upon taking the field.... Seriously, I damn near felt guilty.
- Vandy's first play from scrimmage (which I called, har har) was scary as hell. Had that one not been called back, it could well have been a very different ballgame. Dumb penalties killed them in the first half.
- Terry Grant will be a superstar by the end of the season.
- Rolondo McClain is perhaps the most mature true freshman I've seen in a very long time. He has clearly earned the trust and confidence placed in him by the coaching staff. He seems incredibly adept at reading offenses.
- JPW looked a little rusty at times, but he damn sure knows what it takes to win football games. He threw a badass block in the first half that made me proud. I love having a QB that can not only take a hit, but deliver one when necessary.
- The fourth quarter was a little moist.
Something I overheard in the stadium today...

I heard a Vandy fan say after the game:
"This is embarrassing, they come in here and it's like it's their vacation home. We have no fans."
