Alabama vs #7 Tennessee Open Thread

Now that the Alabama basketball team has a conference win under it's belt, I guess we can open our eyes, take our fingers out of our ears, and stop shouting "NANANANANANANANANA!" to drown out the abject misery that has been Tide basketball the past month or so. Just in time for the...aw, come on, I start paying attention now?! Damn it!

Ugly start

The first half of the first half has been pretty ugly. Many mistakes and quite frankly many moves made by an entirely more talented team. I can only hope its pre-game jitters. C'mon Bama you can beat the daisy colored team.

Coach G has to go!!

Bama is like a broken record, no defense and
poor free throw shooting. I like Coach G and I
liked Mike Shula, but winning is the name of the
game and Mal Moore made 1 good move and it is time for 2nd good move. Coach G needs to go back to to a OVC school and coach.

New coach

I am not one to jump on band wagons, but get real. When I was a grad student at UT they had no basketball program. In fact, I remember going to the UA v UT game in Knoxville in 2004 and I bet there were not 1500 people in the arena and half of those were Bama fans. They hire Pearl and look at those guys. One coaching move can make a quick and significant difference. It is time for Bama to make the move.

I wouldn't piss off the boys from Alabama . . .
