It's Official - Saban Hires new OC

[editor's note, by Todd]
Bumped from the diaires. Back tonight with a look at McElwain's time at Fresno State.

Head Coach Nick Saban Hires Jim McElwain as Offensive Coordinator.

Source is rolltide.com. doesn't get much more concrete than that.

Look forward to the offense next year. This sounds like a great hire. Hopefully he can do something help out JPW and his decision making.

I think he is going to be a good fit for what we
are trying to do.  Also I think he will fit in well with our staff.  Hopefully he can get JPW to protect the ball.

A little less enthused...
Unlike alot of supporters of The UofA, I am not overwhelmed by this addition. He may pan out, but a sure fire addition he is not and he has some big question marks. I just hope level headed Bama fans prevail and don't start hyping McElwains as "the best hire that could have been made".

the key to filling the position is to find someone
who can work well with our staff.  Only time will tell, but I got a good feeling about this guy.  My negative days are over...we got that SABAN, and he knows what to do.
