Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Players for the future.

Ok who is the player you have seen this year that is not a "impact" freshman that you can't wait to see on the field?  I personally can not wait to see #4 (Barron) and #41 (Upshaw) on the field in the coming years just because they will "pop a knot" on peoples head when they get a chance.  I've seen 2-3 great hits from them on special teams this year.  I like to root for some "2nd teamers" that show some heart...a great example of this working out this year is #5 (Upchurch).  Without the blocked punt do you think he would have seen the field as much?

Roll Tide!

Oh I have to pull for Texas today.  If we have the horses to see someone at the end of the year I want them just because we need to end the streak against them.  That should show my age.

Good choices...

Barron and Upshaw are definitely two good choices, but honestly as good as this class is, and especially considering how much depth it has, you can legitimately pick several different players.

I

gotta go with Jerrell Harris and Alonazo Lawrence. Future stars IMO.

Trent Richardson...

…in 2009, with the crimson jersey.
