Is this a dream?

BCS National Championship Game

Jan. 8
Miami
BCS #1 vs. BCS #2
Comment: With Texas' victory over No. 1 Oklahoma, we now predict the Longhorns will meet the Crimson Tide in the BCS National Title. Texas' last national title game was the 2006 Rose Bowl where it defeated USC 41-38. USC's loss earlier in the year opened the door for the SEC champion to meet the Big champion. The SEC champion -- Georgia, Florida, Alabama or LSU -- would be in prime position with only one loss. The SEC has made its mark on the BCS title game, winning the last two (LSU in 2007 and Florida in 2006) and third in the past five seasons (LSU in 2004).

Guys, wow.  This just blows my mind, after so long.  We still have a long season ahead of us, but just the fact this^^^ is a legit possibility.  Wow.  It's like a dream, because we have wanted to be back in the championship race - legitimately - for over ten years, and the fact that we are in that race, whether we make it or not, means Bama is finally back to our perch at the top of the CFB landscape.  And adding much needed depth over the next few years will keep us there.

As long as we stay healthy, I think we have a better than not chance.  I know we are getting by on some luck, but we are also winning through inconsistencies, which is what we have to do to be successful...but for right now, I am enjoying the hell out of where we are.  After years and years of let down, I feel we have a shot in any and all games.  Hell, even if we end up posting two losses, this season will be amazing.

Pinch me, please, 'cause my dreams are coming true!!!
