'3rd Saturday in October' could be aired on ESPN!
Say it aint so. That 3:30 CBS game is a classic for this game. I can't remember the last time it wasn't on CBS.
CBS Sports has elected to use a six-day option Monday for its choice of games on Oct. 25. CBS will select either Alabama at Tennessee or Georgia at LSU. The CBS game will air at 3:30 p.m. The selection would come at sometime on Saturday or Sunday of this weekend.
ESPN will televise the game that CBS does not select. That game would kickoff at 7:45.

If we get put on ESPN, ill be very sad!

Last year it was on Raycom.
That didn’t turn out so bad.

True
But has it ever been on ESPN?

Yeah...
…it was an ESPN night game in 2004 I believe. I’d rather it be on ESPN than have to hear Danielson and Lundquist.

No...
The 2004 game was on CBS.
The 2002 game, however, was on CBS, and so was the 1995 game. This game is generally played on CBS, but I can think of a couple of occasions off-hand where it was at night on ESPN.

OK let me clear it up....
I think OTS meant to say that the 2002 and 1995 games were on ESPN. And he is right when he says that the game is generally on CBS because of it’s historic significance.
2007-Lincoln Financial(Now Raycom)
2006-CBS
2005-CBS
2004-CBS
2003-CBS
2002-ESPN
Thats what it has been in recent years, I vividly remember.

Right...
Sorry, brainfart on my part.
I think all of the games between 1996-2001 were on CBS.
I do know, however, the 1990 game was on ESPN.

Todd Blackledge came out to Kuwait this summer...
I told him I wanted a shout out from him on ESPN when the season started…and he said, “well I plan on giving all the troops out here a big shout out.” and I said, “No…I want my name said on tv.” and the muhfucka just laughed…
it wasn’t a joke…
well, suffice it to say, he didn’t say my name nor shout out the troops so fuck him…but he was nice, other than that…

I
like Lundquist, he’s an accomplished announcer in various sports, not so much Danielson. He’s just not an SEC guy at all… I wonder why he’s even in that booth sometimes.

no one can top Bob Davie
when it comes to douchebaggery. Bod Davie has to be the biggest dipshit i have ever heard on TV (besides of course a certain president and vice presidential candidate)…. If any of you guys remeber the bowl game last year, he was spouting off the most assine bullshit about Saban’s “acrimonious departure” from Miami, and then this weekend, he was saying during the ok st mizzuo game, something to the effect of “we’ll it’s pretty clear to me and most of the voters, the Big 12 has really kind of surpassed the SEC as the premier conference. The big 12 just has such outstanding play from the quarterback position and thats not something you see in the SEC” …. Bob Davie is the biggest, douchey-est, douche that ever douched.

you aint shit when you have a a BADASS D line in your face. when your team can’t run the ball and you have no time to throw, there’s nothing you can do to stop the stop the hurting, besides take a knee on every down and hope it all ends soon….

What
ever happened to Mike Gottfried? He was a great color guy on ESPN. Wasn’t he on some college football shows too? Seems like they just kinda pushed him to the side. There was the ’95 UT-UGA game on Classic Friday and thought to myself “man that brings back memories.” I miss him. Not gay.

I had to mute...
…the bowl game or else throw something at the TV and I didn’t even have Eli. Those announcers were horrible! We have played fantastic this season at night on the road, so I think it’s an omen.

Just happy
that the game falls on a week without many other big SEC games. The way UT’s year has been going I think we should be happy that we’re not pushed back to 11:30 again!
