"In a day and age where a lot of people think it's what you do, not how you do it that determines whether you're successful or not, we're still old-fashioned in terms of how you do it is really still pretty important. That was a big emphasis for us, individually and collectively."

Saban is almost a throw back in stressing execution/technique.
With all the emphasis on formations (anybody ever hear of the spread) and play calling, focusing on technique and execution sets Saban apart — and may explain our success this year. Its the old Vince Lombardi approach of perfecting your best play and daring the other team to stop it.
