DARBY SIGNED
The Rams have signed former University of Alabama running back Kenneth Darby to their active roster, replacing Brian Leonard, who went on injured reserve because of a shoulder injury.
Darby was signed from the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad. A seventh-round draft pick by Tampa Bay in 2007, Darby carried twice for nine yards and caught two passes for 16 yards in his only regular-season game, Dec. 30 against Carolina.
At Alabama, Darby had 3,324 career rushing yards, third in Crimson Tide history to Shaun Alexander (3,565 yards) and Bobby Humphrey (3,420). At 5-feet-10 and 211 pounds, Darby is considered a strong inside runner with good quickness.
