Coffee to lose touches?
I have not rewatched the game and from my seats I could not tell if someone put a hat on the ball or if it was stripped. His fumblitis was not cured by carring the ball around and I think his role could become a little more limited. Anyone else feel that Ingram could shoulder the load from here on out? I like coffee but something has to happen. When he fumbled I had a flashback of Jimmy Johns and ULM.

to his credit,
he really wasn’t given any time at all to secure the ball when he got hit. he was pretty much hit the second he got the ball.
It did seem that
Ingram got more carries than he’s been getting, though. I am too lazy to look up actual stats, but they may have already limited Coffee’s snaps a bit – as good as he is, they’ll always give him plenty unless he has a complete fumble meltdown (a la two games ago every week), but my gut told me during the game that they were giving Ingram a few more than usual.
I bleed crimson and white...I puke Vol puke orange. RTR
Not his fault...
That fumble wasn’t his fault. 2 DLs came right through the middle of the line and popped him pretty much as soon as he took the hand-off. You’ve gotta block better than that and at least give your guy a chance to secure the ball.

Saban's Presser
The big guy said that he didn’t think it was Coffee’s fault. In my book, that closes the subject. I guess you could say that our family has bought in to the process. ;))

agreed.
Coffee got crushed by over 600 lbs of VERY FAST, VERY PHYSICAL man-meat before he could even secure the ball. That’s on the line, not him.

Glad
to hear it was not his fault.
Auburn fans are like slinkys... not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
I rewatched the game on CSS last night
And i felt he had time to secure the ball. He didn’t have time do anything to avoid being hit, but he did have time to get two hands around it..
Don't take life to seriously, you'll never get out alive.
He will...
…respond like it was his fault, which means that his teammates and coaches need to be sure to work on lifting his spirits as much as working on technique right now. Glen Coffee was my least favorite RB before this season, but he has won me over with his renewed focus and work effort. His ‘fumblilitis’ is one of the things that worries me the least about our team, especially while Mark Ingram and Roy Upchurch are healthy.
