Did anyone else think Kareem Jackson was the reason we won that game yesterday? His interception to kill a very promising UK drive became huge after the late touchdown made it a one score game, but all game long he was blanketing anyone he was on and they couldn't throw against him. Good job, sir.

Kareem...
Kareem did a great job, no doubt about that. However, in all fairness, it was the entire defense that did a great job, and not just Kareem.
If you break down the stats, Kentucky just had no offensive production whatsoever. Aside from the last-second drive where we were effectively playing a glorified prevent defense, their entire offensive production consisted of the two wide receiver screens in the third quarter. Factor out all of that and Kentucky had only 136 yards of total offense on 52 plays. We, as a whole, were basically holding them to about 2.5 yards per play.
Again, Kareem had a great game, but he was just one of many, many players who had a great game on the defensive side of the ball.

it is obvious that...
ICE KAREEM is the best DB on the team. He is one of the most important players on the D.

The D, the whole D, and nothing but the D...
…won that game, Bama fans. But it will be OK with me if we don’t play our ‘prevent’ D vs. the big boys down the road. The only thing it seems to prevent is great defensive plays.
And BAMA PHREAK, I hope SABAN + ALABAMA = 14 (at least). Roll Tide.

DB's
I like Kareem and usually he is with his guy all the way.
I think Rashad Johnson has not had the kind of year I thought he would have—thus far. But our most important games lie ahead so maybe he will have a better 2nd half.
Woodall has been better than I thought he would be.
Arenas I’m just not sure on right now as a corner. I actually think he is too short. I’m surprised he has not been beaten out by one of the freshmen, so maybe he is better than I think.
Marquis Johnson to me has looked better than I thought.
Ali Sharrief I’m not sure on. (I’m not really sure how to spell his name either)
More than anything I’m surprised that none of the freshmen have cracked the lineup.
This actually says a lot for the first 4.
We will get tested by Ole Miss’ QB for sure.

Trading Marcus Carter for Justin Woodall...
…makes me feel like the Yankees felt when they got the Babe from Boston. What a difference.
