Rolando has class
I sat down and finally watched the Nick Saban show on Tivo last night. During the highlights I watched as Rolando scooped the ball and ran into the endzone. As a defensive guy I would think he would be so excited he may do a little dance with some bandstanding, but he simply tossed dropped the ball and ran back to the sideline. In fact, it looked as if some other players wanted to do a chest bump or some of that crap and he simply ignored them. What class. That is truly acting like you have been there before. The more I learn of Rolando, the more I love this guy.

Speaking of class...
I was really happy the MDB did not do Rammer Jammer since we did not beat the “hell” out of Kentucky. Plus, I sat near the KY band and most of their fans and they were very nice. For the teams I hate, however, Rammer Jammer is always in order, even if we win by 1. Just because they hate it. lol

I
agree, I don’t like Rammer Jammer being used for every victory. But like you, I think its appropriate for certain… cough….teams….cough cough….like Barn and Little Orange.

If anyone watched the AU/Vandy game...
I could have sworn that Vandy’s band did Rammer Jammer after their first score, saying “We’re gonna beat the hell outta you” and just stopped after that Did anyone else hear that?

Yes
Yes I very much did hear that and glad you brought it up. I could’t make out if they were using our version or made up their own. I guess they thought the farmboys should start getting used to it because they are gonna be hearin it for about 363 days after 11-29.

That isn't the first time...
I am dating myself here, but when I was in school @ UA in 89-92 a team beat us and played that song. (we all know it is a song beside RJ, right?) They said the “We’re gonna beat the hell outta you” part. I cannot remember who it was, but it was around the time that the school decided RJ was “banned” because….I cannot remember that either. Wow, college was more fun than I thought!
It wasn’t in BDS, I do know that! And I, for one, am glad to let Vandy borrow it for AU! The barners in that stadium knew the origins of that song!!!! I was singing along with them. How sweeeet!!!!!!!

It was...
…very apropo for Vandy to use it since the Barn has played it after they’ve beaten us. The ‘Dores are my #1 heroes this week! #2 goes to Juice Williams and the Fighting Illini’s beatdown of Michigan. Karma is a bitch, eh Cook and your pied piper followers?

Question about the GA game...
I read on Dawg Sports that the MDB played the Georgia fight song. To be honest, I don’t know their fight song, so is that true? And why would we? I was in our student section near the band and only noticed it took forever to play Rammer Jammer.

I only hope
That is was a sign of respect for our opponent, not like when UT’s band played Yea Alabama a few years ago in Knoxville. And the whole band was doing a pelvic thrust in the direction of the Alabama section, after beating an unranked Alabama team 17-14. Tennessee as an organization and as a football culture has zero class. I live 90 miles from that puke orange hell hole, and I’m from south Alabama in Barn country.
UT fans are infinitely worse, in my opinion

Funny you used the term hell hole
I have used that same term to refer to UT when I lived there. They are indeed worse. The UT band always plays the other teams fight song before the game.
I wouldn't piss off the boys from Alabama . . .

I think it must have
started when UT was good yrs back. They would play the other teams fight song to show respect and then beat them. It must be a bitch to learn a new song every week. I honestly cant speak too much on this, but I know when I lived in Knoxville and I would tailgate or actually go into a game I would see the pride of the southland band playing the others teams song.
