PrintApparetly the Auburn peeps are worried about what Bama fans are saying on Roll Bama Roll. Personaly I don't like Franklin, but it's just because he took a shot at Saban's no one talks to the media postion. I hope he lands somewhere and does well since he is gone from Auburn. No joking here but I think he would do well at a Sunbelt type team. As for all the Auburn peeps looking here....I hope you have enjoyed the last 6 years.....

I totally agree with you. We are looking like Track Em Tigers right now and that is not acceptable IMO. Roll ‘Bama Roll is the best and classiest Bama blog, and as a long time poster, I would like to keep it that way. Yeah, it’s fun to laugh at the Barn’s troubles this season, but we have not beaten them yet this year and they have plenty of time to improve. Nothing is for sure in the SEC and I would hate to see this mouthing off come back to haunt us. It’s a bye week, but there is plenty of good football being played this weekend that could affect the rest of our season. We need to take care of our own business and the Tiggers are but a small bump in front of a rollin’ wheel.

I didn’t mean to sound so harsh to the original poster, and while it is a story on a slow Wednesday in an off week, all these threads seem like we’re obsessed with Auburn. And its not time yet to gloat over a team that has whipped us 6 times in a row. We should keep our heads low and mouths shut with respect to them until we beat their ass.

I do not ever talk smack before a game, because I myself am not a big fan of the taste of crow. I understand evrybody is ecstatic over our season and the possibilities, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I also agree that there is PLENTY of other topis to talk about other than AU’s problems.
For instance, the upcoming Texas/OK game or FL/LSU or TENN UGA. I for one would much rather discuss these points of interest.

aside, its not funny when someone loses their job, period. True, some people deserve it but as more comes out about this, it seems obvious that Franklin was set up to fail. I do feel bad for the guy, he left a secure coaching job for a volatile one, his choice, but still you gotta feel for the guy losing his job.
It's hard to feel bad...
for a guy who is still assured 2 years of an annual salary of $234,000. not to mention his side business of selling his system to high schools. he’s better off than me with a job.
