Hmmm...Gator Muscle...

Is Florida REALLY this freakin awsome?

Star-divide

I know they are a points powerhouse and all....and Georgia has lost all composure at this point....and not to be looking ahead for too long, but since the Tide rolled today with the shutout and now the 24 hr celebration is in effect till preparation for LSU......Lets have some cooler talk....

At this point I believe we WILL win 2 out of our last 3 games, if not win out...and it looks like the Tide and the Gators in Atlanta....and although there has been a lot of NC talk lately, as of now, I really dont care about a National Title anymore....

Florida is trying to make a statement and now and I WANT BAMA TO SNUFF THEM OUT....

Is anyone honestly scared of this Florida team?  Am I the only one that thinks Bama has something for them...if they did beat us in a SEC Champ game...i dont think it would be by 30+ points...

What do all you football heads really think...leaving the kool-aid on the table?

Yes, hate to say it but I think the Gators are that awesome

And like you, I don’t care about a NC, this year anyway! But Tebow is the real deal and the gators play all 4 quarters, every game (ok well all but one game).

I believe we can get past little brother and that team from mississippi, LSU? I don’t know. If we play all 4, yes we can do it. But the gators, I mean, what the heck is their % for scoring inside the redzone. What is ours for stopping the opponent?

Either way, I’m so proud of our team and staff this year. Dang it’s fun to be a Tide fan!! I’m a fan when we are good and when we are not so good…and good is so much more fun!! RTR

First of all Bama needs to handle LS-who in Red Stick, then take care of business with Sly Croom’s boys, then FINISH OFF Ears Tupperware and his sleeping barnyard animals so that the TIDE can get a shot at the Gay Turds and wipe that arrogant smirk off The Urban Myth’s mug !!!!!

The Urban Myth head coach of the UF Gay Turds is a classless you-know-what and is a disgrace to the entire SEC … he should be the head coach of the “U” because that’s the kind of program the jackarse runs. Yeah, I wanted his UF thugs to beat UGA and of course I want Bama to keep rolling to set up a Bama vs. Gay Turds meeting in Hotlanta for all the SEC marbles and most likely a berth in the BCS NC game in Miami. BUT ……………. leaving all his starters in with the 42-3 lead against an SEC foe (regardless of the endzone stomp by all the UGA players last year) while Gary “I dream of being Tea-Blow’s lover” Danielson and Verne “I want a hug from Timmy too” Lundquist kissing Timmy’s and The Urban Myth’s arses just makes me wanna puke !!! Then that arrogant arsehole tops it off by calling one timeout and then another with 30 seconds to play and with a 49-10 lead hoping he could break one more TD run just to rub salt in the wounds … that’s despicable!

I actually think I might dislike the Urban Myth just a tad bit more than I dislike Phat Phyllis and UcheaT.
As you might guess I WANT UF BADDDDDDDD!!!

what made me sick...

was in the first half when a FL receiver held the jersey of a defender to pull himself past and get more momentum. What made me sicker was when Verne and Gary shrugged it off like it wasn’t cheating and said “Great play! That kind of stuff happens all the time!”

It’s unreal how TWO ANNOUNCERS FOR A NATIONALLY TELEVISED FOOTBALL GAME JUSTIFIED CHEATING TO THE THOUSANDS OF KIDS WATCHING AT HOME. FFS, it may happen all the time but that doesn’t make it right you douche-bag-tebow-loving pricks.

I HOPE TO GOD WE GET A CHANCE TO PLAY THAT SPINELESS LOW-CLASS TEAM AND WE SHOW THEM HOW TO BE TRUE SPORTSMEN!

Simply put, the UF engine is hitting on all cylinders and just needs to be derailed by a hungry and intense Bama D.

But again, first things first. Bama is picking up steam and LISTENS when Coach Saban speaks ………. LS-who in Red Stick …………… one week, one game, one opponent, one obstacle at a time and it’ll all take care of itself

by doletidedole on Nov 1, 2008 6:59 PM CDT reply actions

Seems like they were pretty good in 92 also, and 99......

i’d say we’re for real too…just still cant hit on all cylinders..we do seem to get up for the big games though

It's all about the process....

yeah i think we will be florida too

our running game just looks unstopable by any possible means, and in the first half, on their first four possessions, Georgia was running fine. They just choked it away in the third quarter and myers douche bag ass just poured it on. I’m glad florida is looking “so OMFG good” before we roll into atlanta, I hope they keep it up. most importantly i hope we stay healthy and make some improvements in pass blocking and special teams. our D should be enough to keep us in every game including florida. if we dont hurt ourselves and just run the ball, we’ll beat every team in the country hands down.

by tempebamafan on Nov 1, 2008 8:58 PM CDT reply actions

i agree

i hope we roll into atlanta huge underdogs…just like clemson…just like georgia. in fact, i think it’s a beautiful thing that FL won like that.

I have no problem with Florida...

…running it up on teams. They’re a one loss team trying to get back in the picture. It’s highly unlikely all of the unbeatens run the table and they’re trying to get in the best position possible to be considered for the title game. They’re doing what they need to do…winning big and getting attention. Additionally, after that shitass stunt Georgia pulled last year, I would’ve scored 1,000 on them if I were Florida.

by Nico2.0 on Nov 1, 2008 9:38 PM CDT reply actions

Agreed

I think Florida is the favorite out of the one-loss teams. USC doesn’t have the schedule and Oklahoma will need a lot of breaks just to make it to the Big 12 championship game.

I am glad

we have a coach with the class and talent HIMSELF, not to have to do this gimicky crap! It is pathetic if it doesn’t work and NOTHING works every time. Thank God I am a Bama fan! Roll Tide Roll!

TBO UP THE MIDDLE

To score up the middle(like he did against Ga) does he realize he’ll have to run round the mount (Cody of course).Don’t kno if he can get by Josh either tho. Get by next week and reckon we’ll see.

by rmathis on Nov 1, 2008 11:14 PM CDT reply actions

Yes, UF is that good

But, remember, we did the same thing to UGA as well. Only UF didn’t go into a shell or prevent like we did. They played all 60 minutes full throttle. I think we win out, but, honestly, I’d put the Gators about 3-6 point favorites in Atlanta.

by Stuck in the Plains on Nov 2, 2008 8:07 AM CST reply actions

UF's

offense is getting better and peaking at the right time. But so is our D. I certainly think we have a chance against them but we most likely won’t be favored no matter our ranking at the time. We played UF in Gainesville in their NC season of ‘06 and the game was fairly close considering we weren’t good that year (6-7 Shula fired).

by Bens4vcobra on Nov 2, 2008 9:01 AM CST reply actions

Don't

forget, they also have a decent USC team and an improved FSU remaining on their schedule. Lets hope they get softened up a bit before we play them.

by Bens4vcobra on Nov 2, 2008 9:11 AM CST reply actions

Hell yeah!!!

This is what I like to see. I go onto Espn to the Bama threads and all the Bama fans are pretty much giving this game to Florida already. I don’t recall Florida playing a team quite as talented and balanced as Bama. They sure as hell haven’t play a defense this dominating. Look at what they did against Georgia, here’s a friggin cookie! Take away the garbage TD’s that Georgia had against Bama and the score would have been 41-17.

by AlltheGreats on Nov 2, 2008 9:13 AM CST reply actions

If we played UF

in a bowl game we would beat them because Saban would have a month to study them and get ready. We used to give ourselves the week off before the SEC for this very reason. But now we can’t focus on UF until after LSU, MSU, and Auburn because as much as we would like to win an SEC title we need to beat each of these teams more. We need to beat them so much we will not put any prep time into UF until the week before. (UF may be able to spend some time preparing for Bama as they face FSU.) That is going to make this game tough because UF presents a lot of problems on Offense. However, if Cody is healthy the Bama D presents a lot of problems as well.

Right now, based on the past month, I would have to give UF a 5 point advantage over Bama. And if we have to punt a lot I’m really afraid of them when we punt.

However, we migth improve some in the next few weeks. But for now we need to focus on getting better and on one game—-LSU.

maybe im uneducated...

but i was talking to a few of my fellow bama fans the other day and not one of us could name a standout player for Florida who plays defense. All of their big names play offensive skill positions. They just dont stack up. They play a flashy, almost west-0coast style of football. Im very intrigued to see them play a raw, intense, physical defense like Alabama’s. RTR.

by rammerjammer7 on Nov 2, 2008 2:54 PM CST reply actions

They've

got a very good linebacker, Spikes is his name I think. Obviously the key to beating Florida is containing their skill players, easier said than done but they aren’t a “tricky” team, they pretty much do what they do if that makes any sense. LSU has me worried just for the fact that they can be tricky, Les Miles will pull out all the stops and you never know what that guy will do. I could very well see them opening the game with an onside kick.

by Bens4vcobra on Nov 3, 2008 8:48 AM CST up reply actions

will hill and some other guy are their safties or DB's

they’re supposedly pretty good. just ask jevan snead and chad henne. florida is unstopable, they’re better than the USC team that won 3 championships a few years back. why they’re almost as good as notre damn is every year! ohhh florida you are soooooo great how can i stoke thy cock in a manner that might please thou more?

by tempebamafan on Nov 2, 2008 5:51 PM CST reply actions

Florida does make me nervous, but...

it seems to me that their running game is a big part of their offense. When they haven’t gotten that going this year and last year, they were in trouble. What’s the best part of our defense? Running D. I think if we do like we’ve done all year and keep their running game under control, Tebow won’t be all that big of a threat through the air. But that’s just my opinion.

by jsholt969 on Nov 2, 2008 11:36 PM CST reply actions

responding to someone who said FL will stomp bama...

lol. Yea, that’s what people said about Clemson… and Georgia. People have just been waiting for us to lose, and so far it hasn’t happened. Florida is good, and they might very well beat us. But I’ll tell you this: Florida has not faced a defense like Alabama’s yet. We run a 3-4 with Mount Cody, a ~370 lb beast who can dunk a basketball in the middle. Our offensive line is one of the best in the country and we have 3 great running backs that can all make big plays. And JP Wilson is playing extremely well in the clutch.

Florida is VERY good, but IMO overrated by the people that want to proclaim them greatest team ever. They did lose to Ole Miss. They destroyed a Kentucky team with like 7 starters on defense injured and their only good receiver injured as well. They whooped up on LSU, but so did Georgia. LSU hasn’t really beaten anybody this year (lsu’s best win was 24-17 over south carolina who lost by the same score to vandy), and their QB lacks experience. Their defense is obviously feeling the loss of their coordinator to Nebraska since the only 2 good offenses they played have lit them up. Of course Florida deserves a lot of credit for what they did to Georgia, but I think some people are reading too much into it. Florida was extremely motivated because of last year’s game. Georgia played poorly. They had about as much yardage as Florida, but they turned it over a lot AND had that onside kick backfire and ead to an early TD for Florida. Did I mention that Florida lost to Ole Miss?

Again, Florida is good, but I think the game will be a toss up and I’ll be very surprised if they stomp us.

P.S. People saying Florida will stomp ‘bama will just pump us up and lead to a win, so don’t let me stop you.

The only glaring difference I can see

is special teams: our lack of improvement and their ability to capitalize! HOWEVER, this 2008 team is defined by their ability to grow and improve and still has a month to work on THAT. If we can change that area of our game, I cannot see that they should even be favored going in, as some of you suggest. They will be. The rest of the country has lost faith in the ability of the Crimson Tide to pull it out. I mean, how many times did you hear the talking heads wonder about the ability to “overcome adversity” of the other top 5? Every single week? Apparently, it works for us, so let’s just keep it this way…..#1 in the end means a hell of a lot more.

by crimsongirl on Nov 3, 2008 7:28 AM CST reply actions

Florida's win over Georgia...Overrated

IMHO, Florida is a very good team that is playing very well right now, no doubt. BUT, the Georgia team they played is NOT the same team we played or anyone else has played all year. The reason… INJURIES!!! Georgia has had the worst case of the injury bug I have ever seen in my 30+ years. They lose 1 or 2 players every week and most have been for the season or if they do play they are not playing at 100%. Not to take anything away from Florida, I still think they would have beaten GA , just not by as much as they did.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!! BEAT LSU!!!!
