Week Ten Poll Watch: Guns Up Edition
The Red Raiders knocked off the top ranked Longhorns tonight in thrilling (and completely appropriate for them) fashion, so now we'll all be glued to the internets come noon to see if the pollsters move our beloved Tide into the #1 spot or jump Penn State (or even Tech) ahead. I'll post the polls widget here, but there's no telling how quickly that thing will be updated, so here's a link to the Yahoo! Sports rankings page that is usually updated as soon as the polls are released.

I would love
to see us ranked #1, but it seems like everyone there is getting knocked out. I don’t think they’ll jump Penn State ahead of us since they had a bye this week, but I’m pretty sure Texas Tech will be moving up.

Me personally
I would rather see Tech go to #1 and us stay at #2 until the iron bowl week then go up because their will be the no respect and more drive from all these young freshman we are playing so I think it would help keep us grounded so to speak. I dont fear Penn st will jump us if we keep winning any way. Just keep letting and enjoying the Big 12 beating up and knocking each other off like the sec has done for years.

Hard to believe
that this will be the 1st time we’ve been ranked #1 during the regular season, since the Bear was here.
It's all about the process....

#1 with a bullet
(god willing). If we walk into Tiger Stadium Saturday as the #1 team, how much bigger does that bullseye become?

#1 across the board
with about 2/3rds of the 1st place votes in all the polls. The USA Today poll is really whack though. I think, if it’s a one game resume (which really is all PSU or TT has) that TT’s win is much better than PSU.

wow! lets hear it for the harris poll.
they should make the harris voters pass some sort of competency test before allowing their ballots to count….. texas #1? seriously? you mean after they gave up 350 first half yards and dropped a game to texas tech? they’re still #1 in your eyes? jesus fucking h christ you should be shot in the back of the fucking head.

maybe that voter
just filled out his ballot before watching any of the games and had already sent it in…….either way the fact that the harris poll comprises 33% of the BCS standings is a very very upsetting and demoralizing prospect…..

The Harris Poll...
…has Texas at #6 right now, maybe you looked at it before it was updated.

there's one voter with them marked #1 on their ballot still
maybe i’m just nit picking too much.

In that case...
…it was probably some jackass that filled out his ballot before the game, assuming Texas would win.
