Dick Vitale, No Chance... Really?

College Football according to Dick Vitale

"They can't hear us in Alabama, can they?" Vitale said on the broadcast. "They have no shot against the Gators when they play for the SEC title. They have no shot. Nick Saban has done a phenomenal job with that Alabama program, really brought it back, but I'm telling you, that Florida Gators team is like a juggernaut."

Really then?  The last time we heard this with a championship game pending, a Heisman Trophy winning Quarterback struck this pose in the 4th quarter.

i have been hearing that same crap from all my florida fan friends. They keep saying we have no shot..and i bring up their loss to Ole Miss and how we won, but they always say it doesnt matter. it kinda ticks me off.

The Gators DO NOT LIKE TO BE HIT

UT = listless. Ole Miss = loss. UA = priceless.

No comparison

Bama won in the ’93 Sugar Bowl against an offensive juggernaut with a stifling defense, a staunch running game, and a business-like grind-it-out offense. So, that win was nothing like this … um … wait a minute …

Really...

all my florida fans/friends don’t like to use the ole miss game as the comparison. They always bring up the fact that they blew lswho out and we had to be them in OT, then i politely point out that we beat ole miss, and they loss to them. My bottom line to them is that’s whay they play the games on the field and not on paper…and quite frankly i like our chances!!! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's crap like this

That makes me really, REALLY want you guys to drown UF in some Crimson Tide. People are acting like the NC is their freakin’ birthright.

I heard that too

Kind of stupid for him to be talking about football at a basketball game. He also brought up the TB Rays. What does it say about the guy if the peak of me liking him was when I was 13 years old?

Honestly

when is Dick Vitale ever right about anything? Ever? Most recently, he picked the Rays to sweep the Phillies. What a moroon!

Give Up

I’m in Tennessee and this is all I’m hearing as well. We should just stop playing. The paper is out. We lost.

Here’s the deal. My cousin is on the team and when I asked him about it he said that they would worry about that later. Auburn is up and they are focusing on them.

That’s why I like the Florida game. We take them one at a time now. Let everyone else talk about December. We have a REAL important game to win. Be honest if we can only win one of the next two…..I’ll take SEC champ next year.

I keep bringing up 92 as well. (Gino and Tebow sound a lot alike to me)

Sure I'd like to beat Notre Dame, don't get me wrong. But nothing matters more than beating that cow college on the other side of the state.

YOU DID WHAT??!

I say this with all Bama love and respect: Cousin or not, do not talk to your cousin or any other player about Florida until November 30th. (I’m kinda joking, but not really.)

I'm surprised he doesn't think Duke or North Carolina should be in MNC...

Dick, do us all a favor, and SHUT UP!!! It doesn’t bother me that the football talking heads on every sports radio and TV show give us no chance, but why would anybody care what this washed up BASKETBALL announcer think.
We have not been picked to win against Clemson, or Georgia, Tenn will be up for us and we’ll fall at rocky top, LSU will end our dream season, and on and on and on.
PLEASE OH PLEASE KEEP DOUBTING!!! But you will fear the process!!!!ROLL TIDE

Well, are you gonna pull them pistols, or whistle dixie?

I would much rather them be

talking up Florida than Alabama. Cause if we get no respect, we get to play the ever-so-powerful “No Respect” Card that I’ve mentioned before. I compare the importance of this card to that of the “Draw Four Wild Card” in Uno. It’s not all that scary to talk about or to hold it in your hand, but when you play that SOB, the fury of a thousand fiery hells comes upon your opponent. They wish they’d never been born because not only do they have to draw four, but you get to name the color in playyou hold the momentum from the coin toss and it’s yours to relinquish. Examples include: ‘92 Bama, ’06 Boise St v. OU, ’02 Ohio St v. Miami, and many others. Just ask the ’00 squad what happens when you’re dubbed the winner before you play the game…
