Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

If we are #1....

....Then roll tide everyone!

Star-divide

But everyone outside the the Bama universe will still S#@T on the Tide anyway...

You wanna see a week on the ESPN channels where the #1 team is NOT touted or praised or deemed 'beauty queens of CFB' or 'unstoppable'....then LET Bama be number one....In my opinion, we deserve to be there.

Personally, as far as that goes, I dont care as long as we are there at the end.  I know Saban wont have this team looking at 1s and 2s anyway.  And to prove that we belong at the top by winning every game and doing it methodically with concentration and not raw emotion should be enough motivation for this Tide team to play well and FINISH these three games...(and we dont even have to run up the score!)

...mark these words...Florida will be in for a big shock WHEN they face this team next month...

There are still doubters out there looking at scores and saying how bad ass UF is putting up these ridiculous numbers and that they now are the best one loss team out there.....

HAHAHA! Guess what I have to say about that?  Bama is the best UNDEFEATED team right now (ooooh smack, I know)...kudos to Texas Tech, by the way...

But like its been said before...(insert team name here) has not faced a team like Bama yet...Roll Tide and beat LSU!

You are absolutely right!

It would be GREAT to be #1 b/c Bama is always #1 to me! I would never turn down a ticket to a Bama game to go to ANY other game….(well, maybe Hawaii, but I wouldn’t make it to the stadium!) But the recognition would be nice. At this time of year, prior to the end, that is ALL the ranking really is…recognition.

I was at BDS yesterday and didn’t see UF/UGA, just blurbs and what I have read. Although the scores UF has put up have been huge, had THEY played “methodically and with concentration” like you said, they wouldn’t have to do this now. Also, from the quotes after the game, they have played for THIS game since last year. I think it will be interesting to see how things go from this point forward. The paper stated that work outs during the off-season were based around the #‘s from last years game and the quote was something like all for this game right here. Too bad it wasn’t the last game of the season…well, too bad for them.

I guess I should say that I don’t like Meyer either before I continue! =) But it doesn’t seem like sound planning IMHO. Really good week-of prep, to be sure, but not a basis for your whole season. And when you look at the fact that they haven’t faced us yet or anyone LIKE us, it will be a great game!

For now, I am on the Saban-aide: I don’t really care too much about the ranking, I am not all that concerned about UF (they still have a few game TOO!), I just want to beat LSU!

Rooollllll Tide!!!!!

Florida

Let’s clinch the West, finish strong, then make Florida the best two loss team out there!

I live in GA

and all my Bulldog friends told me today at church- “Alabama is my new 2nd favorite team…please win out and put it to Florida.” Well, we have to win Sat. of course, but if we someone go to ATL undefeated it will be a very, very close game. None of this 30 point stuff.
