If Texas Tech Wins
Ok ya'll, I'm a little worried. I know it's not important where we're ranked, and I know the only important game is the next game, and I know it's all about the PROCESS, but I, for one, have really been enjoying this season, and I've really loved seeing this team I have worshipped since childhood at the top of the polls (which, by the way, has made me extremely unpopular here in Texas).
That being said, I've been trolling the internet looking for answers to this question and coming up empty handed. So I'm going to pose my question my fellow Bama fans:
Since we have a bye this week, if Texas Tech wins this weekend will they jump us in the polls?

Its entirely possible...
…they’ve been gaining ground in the first place votes, so if they beat OU while we sit idle, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see them at #1 Sunday afternoon.

Doesn't really matter
If we win out, we’ll be in the top two. Doesn’t matter which one you are as long as it’s in the top two.
I don't want to seem like a traitor but. . . I freakin love corndogs.

Most definitely, however...
That #2 position would be ideal for us in my opinion for a couple of reasons:
1) In a game of motivation, we would get to play the “No Respect” card and take it out on the Barn.
2) It would be a step down in motivation for the Aubs, because they would not be playing the #1 team anymore. Not to say there’s much difference, but it’s always sweeter to play the best.
Regardless, as CrimsonPride19 said, we will NOT be denied a place in the NC game if we win out.

I would say it's almost a certainty, but....
if we take care of business, it won’t matter. A victory over au and then “shocking” the college football world and beating uf, we would be in the MNC, and that’s all that matters. We have been there before, TT hasn’t. The pressure on a head coach and players who haven’t faced it could be overwhelming.
Well, are you gonna pull them pistols, or whistle dixie?

If they win
They should be ranked higher than us. They would have beaten Texas, Okl St. Oklahoma and Kansas in consecutive weeks. Thats much more impressive then what we have done..

I with you
if they win they deserve the first place spot.
Auburn fans are like slinkys... not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

ummm, I don't care.
If we win out, we win the NC with no question and beyond doubt the best team in the country. Why worry?

I only care
after the BCS title game in Miami. All I care about now is leaving a giant orange and blue greasy spot on the turf at BDS.
Alabama judges its team by national and SEC titles. Auburn judges its team by how many times it beats Alabama. You tell me who the dominant team in the state is.

And I hear you
about being unpopular in Texas. It’s the same crap I took in 2005, kept my mouth shut, and just smiled A LOT after the Cotton Bowl. All I heard was that TT would pound us with their offense, yada..yada..yada. Guess who laughed last! It was me!

That was the ugliest, most beautiful field goal I've ever seen.
As I said above, I know it’s not the “cool” thing to appreciate our current ranking in the polls, but I have taken so much abuse (humorous and not-so-humorous) over the years………being #1 is the only thing that shuts these doggone Texas and Texas Tech fans up. My whole staff roots AGAINST us each week….just to see me upset. It’s the reason I head to Bryant-Denny every year, to get a dose of my people. So I’m going to maintain my unpopular obsession with the rankings, and I’m still hoping we absolutely rip the stupid AU Tigers to shreds.

I have a feeling......
that OK is going to stop TT this weekend, then they can go back to being just another victim. It was a good run, but the slipper falls of cindefella this weekend.

If TT wins?
42-7 at half. Not going to happen. I guess the question is now, will OU jump up to #1?
