Florida Injuries

While never glad for another teams injuries this is worth noting.  We know that it likely takes more than 2 weeks to fully recover from these knee sprains.

I dont know UF's depth at these positions but I have to assume that any decimation at positions which have to manage our strongest point of attack is basically good news for us.

But first AU

I agree

Injuries are never cause for celebration. But it doesn’t hurt to have second stringers, or even first stringers who aren’t exactly 100% manning the trenches against Andre &Co.

i hope

that’s not the reason that Bama wins. i would hope that Bama wins because they’re the better team and not because UF was missing a key player or two. in the same way, i wouldn’t want Bama to lose because they were missing either Cody or McClain.

With the way UF is playing right now

Ill take them a few players short.

When you are an Alabama fan you have to hate Auburn, I hate Tennessee because i want to.

In the same way

No one complains when we win with help from penalties and fumbles. We may not have won a few games by being the better team. Just saying…

hmm...

i don’t know about that. i don’t think you can compare winning because of injuries with winning because of penalties and fumbles. injuries are kind of out of your control. penalties and fumbles are usually due to lack of preparation, focus, discipline or execution. they’re self inflicted.

On the other hand

We’ve won plenty of games despite being severely handicapped by the officials (see: LSU).

In my mind, it all works out cosmically in the end. If you’re good enough, you overcome those obstacles and truly are “the better team” if there is such a thing. If you don’t, and you lose, then that’s too bad. Them’s the breaks. Nothing you can do to change it.

So, I agree that it’s never cause for celebration when an opponent’s player is injured. But I sure won’t feel like the victory is any less sweet if it helps us win.

I wouldn’t say that all fumbles are due to lack of focus or preparation. Think Ramzee Robinson’s hit on Corey Anderson against UT. Robinson just “bit the ball” as they say, and it popped out.

you mean roman harper?

when he hit the UT fullback to cause the fourth quarter fumble in 05?
