Florida Gators playmaker Percy Harvin's ankle sprain puts his status for SEC title game in doubt
All right kids, I know we're all still excited about the Auburn win, but unlike certain other schools in this state our season isn't over yet. It's Florida week!

honestly...
…i hope harvin is 100 percent for this game.
win or lose, i don’t want any type of qualifiers being tossed about after the game. all season we’ve been a “suspect” number one due to the “questionable” quality of our wins. it’s time to bring that nonsense to an end. this team has proven it can compete at the highest level – it’s time for them to have opponents of that caliber to compete against.
because as glorious as yesterday’s destruction of auburn was – we ain’t gonna become the powerhouse have the potentential to be playing such flawed opponents.

Harvin
Easily their best playmaker. Rainey and Moody don’t really scare me, nor does Tebow off-left-guard. Harvin against Kareem Jackson is just too terrifying to think about, to be honest. I think I will depart with Kleph here. While we can beat UF with Harvin, a high ankle sprain limits their offense a great deal…even if he’s only a decoy.
I don’t wish injuries on these kids, but with their DT banged up, the O-line dinged up and Harvin sidelined, our ledger decidedly moves further into the (I had given it about 52-48 before this).

wow you think this will be a high scoring game?
I’m not so sure. If we can run the ball like we have been, I think we will be draining clock and keeping the score low.
But who knows? That is what will be so interesting about this game. The good thing is our players aren’t in the least bit intimidated by FL. It’s like they all know they will be dictating how the game will be played.

Nah, I was thinking
percentages of us winning = 52% I’d put it about 60% now. I think the score is going to be 27-23 something like that.

i thnk we win
something like 31 – 37 for us to 17-27 range for them. i wish i could say special teams is firmly in our favor, but it looks more to be a toss up if we keep giving up blocked FG-PAT’s. florida may get two or three big plays. but w/o harvin that means they only have demps (aint skurred of rainey) for big plays, the front 4 have tebow on lock. we’re solid. we should hold their offense to less than 320 total yards. we need to take care of the football, no bad turnovers, and we’ll win by one or two tds.

Gators Special Teams
They are second in the country in blocking kicks. And, obviously, DO NOT kick to Brandon James.
As for us, obviously no long FG where Tiffin has to put it more in a line…that’s when he gets in trouble; when the ball has no height. And we have to get Javy some touches as well.

We'll be ready
Harvin or no Harvin, we’ll be fully prepared to compete and hopefully win this game. Tons of respect for Bama and their undefeated record… but you haven’t played a team remotely close to Florida’s level. The ride ends here.

we did play a team
that beat y’all though.

Yep.
But you also played a bunch of teams realllly close that we bet the hell out of. It all evens out. And Florida has been playing at a different level ever since that Ole Miss loss. I am expecting a good game — the Tide will be the best team Florida has played yet, too.

Different styles though
Our game plan is much more about possession and wearing out defenses than it is putting up ridiculous numbers. Sure, we don’t have a Tebow at QB, but we’re working with what we have and we’ve obviously been doing something right. Yes, the Ole Miss loss seemed to set something off for the Gators and it’s been impressive watching y’all demolish teams, but there’s no such thing as unbeatable and it could go either way.

I don't think that evens out
not taking away from Florida, but you don’t lose to Ole Miss at home. Your argument holds no water, because point differential, especially with a coach who loves to run up the score (Meyer), does not matter. Yes, you guys are flashy. But we play fundamentally sound ball, and don’t see the need to run up the score. I admit your offense is more dynamic, but I will take our team any day of the week, because, well, we didn’t lose to ole miss at home.

That argument swings both ways though...
…Florida hasn’t played anyone of Bama’s caliber either.
Florida will easily be the best team we’ve played all year, but hey, anything can happen. Florida might win 45-10, but you might lose 31-28. Who knows today?

Well, pound-for-pound...
…I’d say that the best team that either Bama or Florida has played this season is Ole Miss – and I’m not just saying that because of the Gator loss. They were certainly the most physical defense Florida has faced all year – until this coming Saturday, that is.
I have full confidence that Coach Saban and co. will devise a defensive scheme sufficient to slow the spread significantly.
As for the offense: I’ll just say that I’m pleased we have so much depth at RB. Could very well spell the difference in the game.

Upchurch may not play either
and in my opinion(what it’s worth)is our best back on 3rd and long. He played only one play against Aub and appeared to ask to come out. He may not play either. We all have played without key players at some point this year.
The only backfield tandem in the country better than Roy and Glen must be Cody and Mark.
Harvin may be out but so may be Roy.I believe we will beat Florida on Sat but that doesn’t mean anything. What means something is that THIS TEAM BELIEVES THEY ARE NOT GETTING ENOUGH RESPECT AND THEY BELIEVE THEY WILL BEAT FLORIDA!!!

What I meant
by tandem is when they’re in the backfield at the same time.

I'm so tired of hearing the "Not the same team" argument
I just checked ESPN.com and it seems like to me that you guys have the exact same players on your roster since the Ole Miss game.
All I know is, if the spread is 10-14 points favoring FL, I am betting a huge amount on the under.

I agree...
I want to beat a team at their best…if we cheer for their injuries and beat them in that aspect, it’s like kicking Superman when he’s succumb to Kryptonite…which is what Auburn had been doing for the past 6 years…
and we all know how that turned out…
