i forgot to add this in my penalty rant. I honestly feel that i have really taken the past 6 years "on the chin," so to speak. I've handled each loss in a dignified and respectful manner. That being said, the behavior of the Auburn fans that i encountered last night was completely classless. I mean downright trashy. I was told that Julio is on the juice, Saban is leaving when hes offered more money, and that im a m****rf****r. For nothing. I mean, i wasn't even rubbing it in. I was just wearing an Alabama visor. Not even any obnocisious, crimson and white head-to-toe gameday attire.
I was very disappointed. I would have expected this from a corndog or a UT fan, but i expect more of our in-state rivals. They were just disgracing the state of Alabama.
FanPosts are just that; posts created by the readers of this site. They are in no way indicicative of the opinions of SBN and the authors of Roll Bama Roll.

Have you READ TET?!
I’ve been very disappointed in their behavior, too. My cousin who went to Auburn doesn’t act like that, so don’t let a few make them all seem trashy, even though some of them are.

I have a little different
view. I was at the game and after in TTown and wearing Bama clothing I encountered many aubies and no one said a thing. Not one thing. Then today traveling home I had to stop for gas in Opelika and my car had plenty of Bama stuff on it and when I got gas there were many aubies there and no one said a thing. Not wanting to start anything I just kinda nodded at them and went on my way. When I got home to Ga, the first person I saw was actually an aubie and he just stuck out his hand and said “Congrats you deserved the win.”
And, I think must Auburn people I know personally will route for Bama over Fla.

I didn't see any bad behavior...
…out of an Barners. Everyone on both sides were being really cool after the game. I’m still of the opinion that no fan base is more classy or less classy than others. I’ve seen angels and demons out of all of them.

I mostly agree Nico
but on the Gator blog they said the crowd cheered when Harvin was helped off and were so loud you could here them cheering on the broadcast. I weren’t there but that was classless if true.I can’t see us doing that. Cause CNS would kick all our a@#es , aight.

Cheering?
The PA people at BDS barely ever even give us any scores. The thought that they would give detailed injury info is laughable. I’ve learned from about a year or two’s worth of message board observation of both our and others’ fanbases that boards are about .5% truth and 99.5% speculation, rumor, and flat-out falsehood.

why is cheering when a hurt player gets off the field not GOOD sportsmanship? Where they just being mean spirited about it or something? maybe I’m an idiot.

Wait!!
We normally cheer when the player is able to walk off on their own; i.e., without the go-cart deal! We always thought it was a GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP action. That we were celebrating that their injuries weren’t so severe that they couldn’t walk—-something to that effect. Maybe somebody just took it the wrong way?

No biggie!
I read it two hours ago, then thought about it NOW! =)
But I do have to say that the most obnoxious fan I know PERSONALLY happens to be a UF fan! I am not taking his calls until…..well, until I absolutely have to take his calls!! Even when we win, he will be unbearable!

Classy?
I’m so tired of taking the past 6 years on the chin. I’m wearing my gameday shirt to class (and I attend Auburn). It’s a CS class, and I’ve already set my computer’s background to the scoreboard. I sit in the front of the class, so everyone can see it. If this is classlessly rubbing it in, then call me a classless ’Bama fan!

i know what you are saying
and i certainly get why you would do that. But just remember how it felt after each loss over the last 6 years. Not saying anything is sometimes worse then throwing it in their faces.

We always have this conversation. . .
and I always fail to understand why. If you win then you should enjoy it however it is that you get the most pleasure. We won!. . . enjoy it! If you piss someone else off in the process and they want to feel like a casualty of war then so be it. When we lose you will always find that someone with the other colors can hurt your feelings, but they also have the ability to console you. Whichever one it is that they choose is completely fine with me because people act (crazy)differently when it comes to football, especially in the SEC. If you’re really that offended by someone hurting your feelings over a football game then maybe you should take a long hard look at the ACC or the WAC or maybe even the MAC (I hear UAB needs more fans). The bottom line is that you should enjoy the ups, because the downs suck! They should suck. I always welcome the opponent to talk their trash because it makes the ups so much better. We should be good sports . . . . . but the past six years have sucked. Have fun.

i agree
whole heartedly. there will always be trash talk on both sides of the field. letting what someone says offend you is crazy. yes, the last 6 years bit the big one, but remember… who has the winning overall record?

I hope that
under Saban we’ll get that winning record back where it belongs. 39-33-1 is a little too close for comfort, and I’d like to see it jump to a good 10 games ahead real soon, and up to 20 or more before Saban retires from Bama (may he stay forever!). Given the current situation, I think that is actually quite likely.
