Well, the 2008 Iron Bowl has come and gone, and it will go down in the history books as a forgettable game, particularly for us Auburn folk. The outcome was almost never in doubt, and when the final whistle blew, everyone who watched (I could only stomach 2.5 quarters) knew that one team dominated the other in every phase of the game: offense, defense, special teams, coaching; you name it, Alabama was better yesterday. So I just thought I'd take a break from licking my wounds to come over and congratulate you guys on a very impressive win and the most lopsided Alabama victory over Auburn in my 24 years of living. Good luck against the Gators next weekend. They look very impressive and hard to beat, but anyone who says it will be a cakewalk for Urban Meyer's squad doesn't know what he's talking about. See you next year!

i appreciate the kind words and definitely prefer them to the ‘gator bait’ chant that flowed down the strip immediately after the game.
This game will NOT...
…go down in the history books as forgettable. I believe I mentioned I wanted to see a LOT of your “great” kick return team and I got that wish. We rocked ya’ll’s world and I don’t believe most of you thought it could happen. Thanks for coming over. This post is more like the ones I’ve come to expect from you.

I’m getting lost on some of these abbreviations (WWBD and TET for starters).
It was very good of you Dixie tho, to come over and wish us luck against the Gators. I root for Auburn as long as they don’t play Bama :)

at least you didn’t tell a cop to go f#@$ himself. I still feel horrible about that. Of course, the half hour I was knocked out shoulda brought me around.
Let’s chalk up my missing bracelet, tooth, ride, and Spock’s missing time to a 36-0 and wave them proudly as trophy’s. Shit, I would rather have my tooth but dang at least we stomped that ass!

I never said I was rooting for Alabama, just wishing you luck and a good game. And I think people are vastly underrating Alabama.

umm foggy is an understatement when you cant even find your way to I-20 in Bham
and its 8am and Noon when you get outta your car at Publix because you drove around campus trying to find publix and alcohol was the least of our problems…….yea it was a day…..then by the end of the game we had gotten in enough trouble with the law and auburn fans that we decided to head back to bham, granted I took 2 young ladies with us…..but thats neither here nor there
