Why They Hate Him

Hate and fear are often intertwined. So it is this week.

"Hatred, at its core, is rooted in fear. LSU fans hate Saban for taking the Alabama job because deep down, they fear the potential implications for their program. ... LSU faithful would never have become angry at Saban to begin with if there wasn't a legitimate reason to fear him."

Makes sense...

I don’t think the hatred, or whatever they want to call it, came out until over two years after he left LSU. Some were upset that he left, period. Now it has reared its head as hatred, not because he’s their former coach, but because you hate anyone that cane pose a threat (i.e. Tubs). You think the Barners (or anyone but Bama fans) hated Shula? No, he posed absolutely NO threat to them. The LSU faithful have a slight addition in their normal, healthy hatred simply because they know what he can do first hand, but the fact that this guy happened to be their former coach is merely coincidental, and not the reason…

Nobody

hated Shula, thats when you know you’ve got a problem when everyone else is telling you to give your coach another year. Kinda like we are all saying to barners right now.

Remember when Saban went to New Orleans

with the Dolphins? It was a welcoming committee, not a lynch mob! No hate THEN. That was because he wasn’t a threat to steal recruits or win a game against LSU.

The Dolphins and Saints

actually played in Tiger Stadium in 2005 because the Superdome was a wreck from the hurricane.
