And the QB battle begins....
Did anyone happen to catch AJ McCarrin's comments about the qb situation at Bama as he comes in next year. His comment was that at worst he expected to be the backup and challenge McElroy for the starting job and at worst to be red-shirted and be the backup for 2010, then be the starter for 3 years. Sure do like the confidence, but what about Star Jackson? I know that we are preparing for the Sugar Bowl and all, but it little glimpse into what looks like a very good qb battle was to much to pass up.
PS . TV also had a shot of DJ Fluker and his size. He has a size 22 foot. I had to Tivo that and make sure I didn't miss it. That's enormous!! They also showed at the table eating, WOW! Can you imagine what buffet people would say if they say DJ and Mt Cody coming in the door at the same time! Just a thought. Roll Tide

interested to see...
I’m actually planning on going down to the A-Day Game in 2009. I’m interested to see who will be the starting QB. McElroy’s pass at the end of the Barn game looked very promising, but I can remember other times when he didn’t look good at all. My exposure of Star has been watching him throw during warm ups – and I didn’t really like his mechanics, but that can be worked on. Going on the Spring game of 2008 Durrah looked the most promising, but he is mired down in the depth chart.
I’m very excited to see Fluker put on a Crimson Tide jersey; and hope he will be ready to go from day one – he is a beast and we will need 3 new OL to step up next year.
McCarron
needs to put on about 20pds before he even thinks about taking the field. IMO I don’t see McCarron touching the field in 09.
Auburn fans are like slinkys... not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
I saw McCarron...
…after the Miss State game signing autographs and he REALLY needs bulking up. I look forward to when he’s ready to play, but unless the QBs look awful in the spring, I too don’t think we see him in 2009.
"I hate everything orange"
It's all about Crimson - ROLL TIDE!!!
remember Colt McCoy when he was a freshman?
That kids was tiny….I watched an interview of him and he said that he didn’t even lift weights in high school!?!?!?! Look at him now, he looks 40 lbs bigger.
When you are an Alabama fan you have to hate Auburn, I hate Tennessee because i want to.
A QB like Colt McCoy...
…at BAMA would work really well for me.

Without the nasty habit...
of getting injured in rivalry games.
"penis fish"…google that, and the candiru is the first thing that pops up

I would hope Star is thinking the same thing
If they’re happy to come in and warm the bench, I don’t want them. Not to the point of being a malcontent of course, but I want them to think they’re the best.
That’s what I love about Javy (remember “Have you seen my highlights?”). He doesn’t care if he fumbles three straight punts, he thinks he’s taking the next one for a touchdown.

Frankly, just Mt. Cody entering a buffet is an instant turn off.
But DJ and Cody? That restaurant might as well close up for the night. They’ll clean em out.
