Hey guys, i'm not gonna be able to make it, but if you are and don't know where to get tickets, utah's ticket office has them going on sale at 11 am CST today. so, go grab them up, and let's give the utes a nice welcome, and hopefully, an even better goodbye, in the form of a nice RAMMER JAMMER YELLOW HAMMER! Has anybody else been able to get tix here?
I selected my seating and was led to a “Please wait while we find the best seats for you” screen that went blank after 10 minutes.

…going back to their home page I see that the Sugar Bowl Tickets link is no longer there, so they must have sold out. Anybody else have any luck?

Tickets can only be purchased by calling 801-581-UTIX.
Dear Bama:
Actually we shut the site down so that any Bama fans looking for tickets either have to:
A) Make a long distance phone call over and over and over again.
or
B) Walk to the Rice Eccles Ticket Office in Salt Lake City and pick them up.
FYI, the only tickets left are in the top of the Superdome.

Seriously, couldn’t the internets be used to Utahians to contact the modern world, view woman in various states of undress thereby stirring up prurience. They probably just troll the internets and RBR in particular to watch a legitimate college football team.

…but I, for one, think Utah has a VERY “legitimate” team and I hope our team is thinking the same thing or we could be in for a world of hurt. That was not cool to dis them, heffie. We’ve been getting dissed plenty this year ourselves for how “legitimate” our wins have been and I haven’t liked it a bit.

FYI, the only tickets left are in the top of the Superdome.
It’s still about 20,000 seats smaller than our home stadium though, so those seats will probably be great by comparison!

…I sat about five rows from the top of the Georgia Dome last week, and I thought the view was great. There are no bad seats in these 70+ domes.

on the north endzone. And im missing a kidney for what I had to pay to get tix for the SEC champ game, that was nuts. Tide Pride, building named for the fam, and I still had to pay 1200 for 4. Bullshit

and @ homecoming my dad and his buddie thought they would play a funny joke on me by taking my seats down in the bowl and letting my dad and his buddy sit together and stick me in the clouds. well, no one told me about the 19 yr old bombshell that happened to be my dads buddies daughter.

I’m sure “sgrbowltix” is not going to be the last person to come here trying to sell Sugar Bowl tickets and I’d rather not have every other thread or post being written by someone just trying to sell tickets. Maybe it’s not a good idea. I don’t know.

Nice reference there, but it ought to read “All your ticket are belong to us.” Also, “You have no chance to fill the dome make your time.” would’ve been a nice touch. Conversation between Utah IT guys about their servers: What happen? Bama fan set up us the bomb.

I really think that both of them have a chance to leave and take over as head coach somewhere. Our defense is extremely good, and I know Saban is part of the reason too but you have to give Steele and Smart credit also.

….Saban really wanted to keep the defensive staff in tact after his first season so he had to come up with a few creative ways beyond just money to keep both Smart and Steele at Alabama. It’s a superficial title at best, but it worked.

Seriously, we need a new DC badly and Steele would be great.
Alabama’s defense is already amazing. I don’t think Steele leaving would make too much of a difference. You guys would still have Saban and Smart.

GA Dome > Superdome
Superdome was built during the era that domes were intended to lure other events as well – like political party conventions. Therefore, if you have seats on the 50 in the front row, you are about 45 yards from the field!
Plus, the upper deck is ridiculous. It’s like watching the game from an airplane.
The Sugar Bowl is always a cheap walk up ticket. Not sure if its because so many people pass out the day of the game on Hand Grenades or what. I’ve been there 3 different times and they were practically giving them away each time (tickets, not Hand Grenades, unfortunately).

…speak for some of the younguns around here, but I’ve seen Bama in the Superdome before, and the upper deck in the Superdome is still a lower airplane ride than the upper deck at BDS. And the Sugar Bowl is not always a cheap walk up ticket, but I imagine it will be this year, giving Utah’s travel ‘history’.
