Submit Your Questions for "Hey Todd!"

Tonight at 8pm CST over at TalkShoe, where we'll discuss the impending and surely epic battle between the brutal fury of Nick Saban and the Tide defense and the cold, mechanical efficiency of the Florida offense, otherwise known as the SEC Championship Game. Join us, won't you?

1.) RbR sweetheart nomination

I nominate Urban Meyer’s Daughter for the 2009 RBR sweetheart.

Auburn fans are like slinkys... not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I stand corrected...

And second IHC800’s nod. HOLY HELL. Todd, that is SMOKING.

Shes 18....single and extremely hot....

Lets do this thing!

When you are an Alabama fan you have to hate Auburn, I hate Tennessee because i want to.

She

is smoking. I do not know what I would do but, I know it would take all of about 3 secs.

Well I

How about

1. Bob Stoops, Urban Meyer or Pete Carroll. Biggest whiner? Discuss.
2. Most cuddly: candiru or Urban Meyer
3. Is Lane Kiffin as head-f’ed as I suspect he is?

Good lord...

I remember watching that particular Grey’s Anatomy episode. Do people tell you that you are truly twisted?

I am so glad that he saw this word on tv!

I kept coming up with twisted ways he might have discovered it on his own!

by crimsongirl on Dec 4, 2008 2:27 PM CST up reply actions

I don't watch med shows usually...

That whole doc-lawya feud (I will make exceptions for Scrubs, tho). My equally twisted brother told me about the “penis fish”…google that, and the candiru is the first thing that pops up :)

"speed"

1.apparently Bama has none if you listen to pundits
2.has history proven it’s really something that dictates wins, apart from the simple eyeball test or wow factor

my gut tells me it’s something like fumble recoveries, etc.

"That's the paradox of success. The moment you stop to enjoy it, you are in trouble. You have to keep moving forward. It's not what you have done that's important. It's where you are going."

That picture

is BEGGING to be photoshopped.

As for the sweetheart, we haven’t lost a game since Ms. Snow’s reign. As a happily married man my only dog in this fight is NOT CHANGING while the streak stays alive.

Alabama judges its team by national and SEC titles. Auburn judges its team by how many times it beats Alabama. You tell me who the dominant team in the state is.

by Nose Guard on Dec 4, 2008 9:04 AM CST reply actions

Hey Todd...

…do you know the best part about this game being played in Atlanta? There’s no Snow in the dome!

by NiceLittleSaturday on Dec 4, 2008 11:45 AM CST reply actions

Will this actually be a barn burner?

All of the pundits are, of course, rammering on about how we are screwed if this is a high-scoring game. But, do they not know that FLA has some players on their defensive front out of the game? Doesn’t this play int our favor as a running offense?

Obviously, we need to shut FLA down and keep them out of the endzone as much as possible. But, I personally feel that we can score a lot of points against these guys.

What do you think?

A few topics...

I’ll be on tonight, and there are a few topics that I’d like to hit on. Todd and I have talked about this before, about how we need more structure in the show as opposed to just talking about random shit that pops into our heads, so here are a few topics I would like to hit on:

  • Just how good is Florida? Have they performed to a level sufficient to justify the hype, or are they generally just a creature of media construction?
  • What gameplan will the Tide take in response to the Florida offense, and what will we try to do offensively? Moreover, what will the Gators respond with?
  • What must we do in this game to win?
  • Assuming a win, who do we match up better with in the national title game, Oklahoma or Texas?
  • Assuming a loss, where do we go for the bowl game?
  • Random thoughts on the recent resignations / hirings / speculation at Auburn, Tennessee, and Mississippi State.
  • Thoughts from around the rest of the SEC: The overall lack of quality depth in the conference, LSU’s quick decline, South Carolina’s continued mediocrity, and how the SEC looks to perform in bowl season.

by outsidethesidelines on Dec 4, 2008 2:45 PM CST reply actions

Assuming a win, we match up better with NoDklahoma.

LSU just needs two things: a QB and a DC (OK, and an HC). SuC’s continued mediocrity is due mainly to their HC’s stubborn insistence on ruining the confidence of his own QBs (not so smart for a genius).

to elaborate on the coaching hires/fires

there has been a lot of talk of tuberville going to state. I know it is possible, but what are the chances? Do you think he would be able to bring state to the SECCG?

by BigChief on Dec 4, 2008 5:23 PM CST up reply actions

I have a question

do you think all the media hype and attention is putting all the pressure on Florida to not only win but try and blow us out? Some argue Alabama is the one with everything to lose: the number one ranking, etc. But to be told how dominant and explosive you will be, and if you are hit in the mouth and realize that team wearing the crimson helmets isn’t afraid of you and gasp has some speed too, what does that do to the Gator’s psyche and gameplan?

Alabama judges its team by national and SEC titles. Auburn judges its team by how many times it beats Alabama. You tell me who the dominant team in the state is.

by Nose Guard on Dec 4, 2008 3:24 PM CST reply actions

Hopefully...

…the same thing it did to Miami’s psyche and gameplan, Jan 1, 1993.

by NiceLittleSaturday on Dec 4, 2008 3:29 PM CST up reply actions

And...

…the gameplans of Clemson, Georgia, and Auburn, 2002.

by NiceLittleSaturday on Dec 4, 2008 3:31 PM CST up reply actions

Dear Todd...

…do you think that RBR’s “Supporting Tuberville since 2008” was the deciding factor in his ‘resignation’?
