JPW's Legacy?
Was just wondering where JPW's legacy gets left within the halls of the Crimson Tide. We've all at one point or another been critical of him over the past 2 - 3 years....and until this year i'm not sure any of us really wanted him as our starter(even pre-season other than for his experience) however, the man has lead us to a 12 - 1 season(hopefully 13 - 1) , he owns virtually every record in our books, yet he has no SEC or NC. Was just wondering what the overall opinion was. Personally i'm thankful for him(this year)...I'm just not sure where to put him within our history.

welll
I say just above Brodie (Not as talented but accomplished more) and just below Jay Barker (Barker-style QB, just not as good and no NC)
im not impressed with your performance
Most durable of those three....
…for sure. He is a tough kid, and never missed a game since becoming a starter.

shutting out Auburn will prolly go down as his crowning achievement...
he brought the crown back to where it belongs…

100% turn around
Although he will not have won any championships, I think JPW will leave a great legacy. First of all, breaking the streaks against Auburn and LSU in the manner that he won those games is a great accomplishment. Also he is just a perfect example of how you can turn things around with hard work and believing in yourself. What a great role model he has become. When I think of JPW I will always remember the overtime pass to Julio and 36-0.
JPW brought Alabama back to the Top
thats what and how I will remember him by. He took a 7-5 team last year, and by the way had multiple coachs and 2 OC in 2 years, to 12-1 and the SEC CG and came just short of knocking off IMO the best college football team and player (Tebow) i have ever seen in person. Yes, JPW is and will be remembered as a leader in my book
Hell, no! A tie is like kissing your sister!
10-20 years from now, Wilson will be remembered for what he is..
an average at best qb. Cold, hard fact.
who knows??
Years from now they may write books about “Saban’s Nine”. If we return to winning National Championships then they’ll be remembered for turning the Tide, kinda like the Bears Boys. Who knows?
I would like that for this group...
