next year's hoops team

For those of you like me, suffering through this years basketball season, help is on the way. It is coming in the form of Jamychal Green, from Montgomery's St. Jude Academy. He's a 5-star power forward in every sense of the term. Power, power and more power combined with soft hands and great vision when passing the ball. I watched him up close today at the state tournament and when I say up close, I was on press row. He showed good leadership directing his teammates, not screaming at them but encouraging them. He showed good sportsmanship helping the overmatched Faith Christian players up when they fell. Attention Richard Hendrix, he was 6-8 from the free throw line. He was one or two blocks away from a triple-double and is way more athletic than I first thought. In one of the morew impressive sequences I can remember, he turned the ball over at the free throw line, sprinted to the other end of the floor and blocked the lay up attempt. When I say blocked, I mean to say Karch Kiraly wishes he could have spiked a volleyball this hard. The ball slammed off the backboard and a Faith player caught it in the air at the three point line. As he set his feet and launched a three pointer,  Green scrambled to him and rejected that shot also. Green's teammate scooped up the loose ball and dribbled down the ride side in a 2-on-1 situation. He dished to the left and the opposite wing player caught it and dropped it off to the trailer, who monsterously slammed it home. The trailer was Green, who had somehow outrun six other players from both teams to get into the lane for the dunk. The only question I have about Green is his level of competition and is his 5-star ranking worthy. I say yes, considering those rankings are generally given during the AAU summer circuit. With the return of Ronald Steele eminent, I see a starting five of

2nd unit
PG-Pickett, Torrance
SG-Steele, Hollinger
SF-Mitchell, Tubbs
C-Knox, Coleman

This puts us one over the scholarship limit, howver it wouldn't surprise me if Tubbs and Coleman transfer. Tubbs doesn't seem happy, and why would he be, Mark doesn't play him enough despite being our best defender.
