I can't believe

than NOBODY has commented. This game was crazy, and the weather around it was crazy too. I am sad we lost, but we were so close to going into another overtime. Riley's shot was literally in the rim. I think Gottfried also coached a great game. There were a lot of plays that worked perfectly until the player missed the shot. This was a disappointing season, but I see a bright future.

This proves, to me at least...

that a lot of the team's struggles this year were due to inexperienced guard play. Without good guards, it's hard to control tempo and pace, which is crucial to limiting turnovers and executing offense. I'm certainly glad with the late season performance of the team, and look forward to supporting them next year.

Well

Ok i just got back from the game and i must say it was FING crazy! First Riley hits an amazing 3 with about .1 sec left to send it into to overtime and then a FUCKING TORNADO hits the dome. SHIT the ceiling was shaking, shit was falling and hitting people. I look over and the UT fans on the other side of the Dome started to panic! People were literally running for their lives. I look up and all the wires and steel rafters were swaying back and forth. The score board looked like it was about to fall. It only lasted about 15 sec but There for a moment my heart stopped beating.

After all this, they post pone the game for about an hour. Finish it ( which Riley almost hits another 3 to win it) and make us sit there another hour to later tell us the UK/UGA game has been canceled.

MAN AM I PISSED!!! I spent a lot of money on those tickets and now they are useless!!! The game is going to be played on Sunday, which i have to work. The truth is they could have finished the game! The situation outside was bad but canceling the game didn't help anything. All it did was make a bunch of pissed off fans track through broken glass.

wow man, saw some scenes from the chaos on the news. Glad everyone made it out ok. Would have been cool, in hindsight, to experience something like that. Would have been great if alex were there to take some photos

Saw it local sports channel

The Dome shaking and rattling! I had the volume down on tv cause I had the volume cranked on some music I was playing- the only indication I had for the game was the bottom left/right of screen showing Bama and Miss St. scores!

Gotta hand it to you bammer! The Dome seems to about collapse and you're pissed 'cause the Sunday game is cancelled. Fuckin love it!

Out here in Los Angeles, if there's just so much as a whole day of rain- the locals get all up in arms and start worrying 'bout flash floods, windshield wipers, and Prozac supplies. (hell yeah, they're driving their cars the whole 3 blocks to their local pharmacy)

Hope things work out with those tix. Something or somebody's gotta step up for all you folks. Hopefully.

I posted this on the al.com board, so some of the comments are not directed at this board or the good folks on here:

Any of you can look at my posts from recent days and realize that I am one of Mark Gottfried's biggest haters on this board. However, it seems perfectly clear that he will be back next season as the head coach of our beloved Tide. I hope that everybody will continue to support the program, whether you like Gottfried or not (and I assume most of you don't, join the club), because the players deserve the support of the Alabama faithful. Next season we have plenty of talent, assuming Richard stays and Ron Steele comes back his old self, to be a Sweet 16 team (better than that if MG wasn't the coach). The players deserve our support, so please don't even consider the so-called "boycott" proposed by some on here if Gottfried returns. I can't stand the guy, but next year's team can be special, and it is not their fault that MG is a moron (sorry, I can't help myself). Rilo, you're my boy. I love watching him shoot the ball and it is a shame his final shot went half way down and came out. As for next season, support the players, no matter what you think of the coach. They work their butts of for us, we can show them a little love.

Thank God We Went into OT

If Riley had not sunk the 3 to go into overtime, a bunch of 'sippi state and UA fans, including our group, would have been walking back to their hotels/cars at the time the tornado hit the Dome. NUTS.
