Your Baseball/Softball Update Is Lazy
Since a slim majority of y'all wanted me to keep tabs on SEC Baseball, and some of you were a little more keen on Softball, here's what I'm going to do. We'll keep a chart handy of each sports conference standings with links to the individual schools' schedule and results, while also keeping you up to speed on Alabama Baseball and Softball. How's that?

Alabama v. UNO
Alabama took on UNO tonight -- University of New Orleans, for those who don't know -- and lost 8-5 in Tuscaloosa. The Privateers came into this game with an 8-7 overall record, and losers of their last five straight, but had little trouble knocking off the Tide on the road.
UNO was led to victory mainly off the bat of Josh Vander Hey, who had three hits, and were also assisted by an Alabama team that committed four errors, three balks -- yeah, it helps when you actually have a pitching coach -- and left twenty-one runners on base. Furthermore, we also left the bases loaded twice. It marks the fourth straight loss for the Tide.
Alabama falls to 9-9 overall, and will wrap-up the series with UNO tomorrow night. After that, the Tide will try its hand this weekend when a very good Vanderbilt team comes to town.

Wells must go
Swept by UNO
After being swept by UNO, Alabama falls to 9-10 overall, and have now lost five straight. We are already 0-3 in conference play after being swept in the SEC opener by Kentucky, and with Vanderbilt and Ole Miss on deck, there's a fairly legitimate possibility that we may go into Baton Rouge in three weeks with an 0-9 conference record.
I told you the baseball team was going to make our basketball team look like UCLA under Wooden by comparison.
