TitleTown USA
I was reading over on ESPN about how BYU is apparently going to shake up the BCS this year*pause for laughter* when I noticed that there is going to be a vote for which city is titletown USA. First there have to be submissions from the cities pleading their case. I plan on writing one but I think everyone else who is interested should give it a shot too. Also, you can submit a video so anyone who is great with the youtubing and all try that too.

titletown
(sorry it's a Cali thing) I digress, Tuscaloosa should be a shoe in! I don't mean too and am not trying to start anything by this; but L.A. is going to be a strong contender because SC has a few crowns in its trophy cases too. But if we get to vote on this, without a doubt I would cast my ballot for Tuscaloosa, AL.

I spent a summer in Yuba City. . .
I worked on my Aunt Betty's farm. From the main road through town, you turn right onto Home Butte Road and way-the-f*ck down Home Butte -just before you hit the granaries and mills, I believe that area of Yuba City is called BFE? Wait. That's right, all of Yuba County is BFE. Anyway's . . .it's insanely beautiful out there! And hey- Marysville has one of the world's best small-town Fourth of July festivities I've ever experienced. (No 916-Tider, I DIGRESS. . . but I'm picking up what you're putting down. It's a location thing. . . ". . . I'm goin' back Cali! Cali! Cali!. . .she said. she liked. the OCEAN!. . ")
A couple of places that should be on the list:
(if it's just for CFB)-
Lincoln
South Bend
Austin
Los Angeles
Miami
Lincoln
of course there are a sporadic few others who'll claim some weird way for placement. people are liable to sincerely believe in anything, if they hear or say it a few times.
of course II: Why bother with an open competition in the first place? Instead, why not make it a "friendly" yearly thing and have "TitleTown" rotate from town to town which best exemplifies (historically or recently, min: 1 bonafide NC trophy), thereby making it a friendly competition of recognition. But on one condition: TUSCALOOSA GETS IT FIRST. (It just seems right. To me.)
'Cause, for all intents and purposes, many of the repeat NC championship teams throughout the ages "can" have a valid argument as to why their "town" deserves distinction. Dare I invoke "BCS around November"?
I mean, whatever's clever Trevor? Chew on this: Titletown, USA is Santa Barbara, CA. Go UC Santa Barbara Black Tide! Why? Because as college champions of the game of Ultimate, they've won many titles. (That is, if you're into that? Riiiiiiiiiight!) Besides, their Ultimate team name is The Black Tide.
Just bring all of whatever ESPN's got, along with all the pomp and pageantry, over on down to Tuscaloosa already. (could you just see all those customized dope-ass banners and ribbon draping BD Stadium? fuckin' A to Z)

I spent...
My friend!!! I damn near busted a gut laughing after just reading the opening line to your thread. I knew without even getting to your name that it was you! Only you could have called me on this; you win my friend!! I bow to the better man. Seriously though, I agree with your premis of a rotating "T-town", it should go to the reigning NC. Afterall to be the man, you have to beat THE man. Now if we can "just" get through this coming season without much crap from cornhole nation about being "back" and all. Bo may know Defense but Bo don't know just how BARE his cupboard is! Yet!! Later.
