For the Love of God...Gottfried

Honestly what in the hell does he think he's doing? I mean am I out of line here thinking that he has completely ruined Alabama Basketball. I mean I never thought he was a good coach, he's had super talented guys for years and can't manage to get past the elite eight...and now he's running off our best guys. Rico Pickett is apparently gone, our best defender Tubbs wants out, Hendrix and Steele both testing the NBA. The only reason I think Steele would even consider staying around is to get a year in with his brother, that is if the younger one doesn't decide to go somewhere else and take Jamychal with him. I guess he's just banking on Tony Mitchell being the next Derrick Rose. Jesus, we've never even won the SEC Tournament under this clown.

Sorry for the rant guys, usually don't post or anything but Gottfried makes me sick. I'd like to think that while the football program is making strides for championships under Saban, that we could get someone in here to bring some respect to the court.

FanPosts are just that; posts created by the fans. They are in no way indicative of the opinions of SBN and the authors of Roll Bama Roll.

Yeah
I don't even pay attention to college bball until the tournament, but all this stuff I've been reading about the program is embarrassing and I don't even keep up with bball.  If he can't even keep his younger players on the team, he doesn't need to stay.

Gottfried is SO INEPT!!
Look what he did for Richard Hendrix....he's gone from being a #7 NBA draftee out of high school to maybe being in the top 40 this year.  Gottfried has helped him become a double-digit draftee.  Maybe if Hendrix comes back for his senior year Gottfried can get him eliminated from the draft all together.

CMG
This makes no sense to most of you, but if you could have been at senior day and heard CMG talk about the team and the seniors you might just give him half a break. And I know we didn't even make the NIT this year, but the team never gave up. CMG has not embarrased himself or UA, give him the benefit of the doubt.

Hendrix stock drops because he can't hit a FT--is that the coaches fault?

We will be better next year...and Rico Pickett is only an average player, and if he is gone we will not be any the worse. Steele will stay.

With all due respect........
If Rico Pickett is "only an average player" then you must be a less informed fan.  And if CMG can only get "average" players to committ to the Tide, he should have been gone well before now.

Steele must come back
if he leaves he will not last long in the NBA if at all.  Outside of AL he has fallen off the radar and will be better served with exposure from another year.  No way he goes in the top 60.  Richard is projected by NBA draft at 37.  He has a better chance, but a lot of big guys are also leaving like the Lopez twins, Joey Dorsey, etc.  With Steele at point (assuming he is near 100%) next year could be big for Richard and help his draft stock.  MG will likely screw this up though.
I wouldn't piss off the boys from Alabama . . .

My bet is both will
For some reason I keep believing that Hendrix and Steele are trying to send a message. We all know how great of players they can be, but neither did much to prove that this year...with Ronald sitting out and Hendrix having a pretty average season. So both of them heading into the draft is a bit dicey for their careers.

And from what 5026 is saying, with all due respect to a fellow fan, CMG is a great used car salesman, maybe he should pursue.
