Around SBN: Ohio State And Florida Target 2013 Receiver Recruits

Let's extend the bowl winning streak to TWO!

Orson has come up with a brilliant idea to focus the intense hatred all college football fans feel for their rivals on helping those affected by various natural disasters. Here's the run down:

1) Make a donation online to the American Red Cross, CARE, or the International Rescue Committee.

2) Email the donation confirmation to kevin@fanblogs.com and state your team affiliation by 8pm EDT on Wednesday, May 14th.

3) Results will be displayed at Every Day Should Be Saturday and Fanblogs throughout the week, with the final results shown by Thursday, May 15th.

4) The winning school will have its colors displayed at EDSBS and logo/mascot shown on every page at Fanblogs.

As kleph so elegantly put it in his e-mail about this, if we lose to LSU, I'm going to puke.

If hate daggers of the mind counted as charitable donations, this one would be in the bag.

[UPDATE]

As of right now, we've tied up Auburn with $130, but Michigan (boo! hiss!) has a commanding lead with an even grand. That's some generosity right there, so hats off to them for going large with the donations, but we still can't let those sanctimonious bell ends win this one. So all you Bama bloggers and message board types, spread the word. And hey, even if Alabama doesn't win, it's still some good clean fun at (hopefully) the expense of our rivals in the offseason that actually benefits people.

First the good news...

That means we have at least matched Auburn’s total from earlier today. On the other hand, after-hours activity has been swift. The total has at least doubled since the last count and a source close to the contest says “Michigan just went large.”
