Your RBR Word of the Day: raconteur
One who excels in telling stories and anecdotes.

| Hopefully we won't lose the gravelly raconteur's commentary on Saturdays, but if his dismissal is the kind of wake up call he needs to quit doing something as outright stupid as drinking and driving then I'm all for it. |

Kenny S.
I hope for his sake that Ken Stabler seeks help for what is obviously a major problem with alcohol. I happen to know first hand what it’s like to be where he is.And it’s not a pretty place to be.Forget the color commentary, the Super bowl ring, the National Champoinship, failed marriages, etc. All that stuff is pretty mild next to what is surely going on in his mind and heart, not to mention his soul. Look no further than his old teammate, MVP in Super Bowl lll- Joe Namath. He is, as far as I know, a shining example of someone who finally hit rock bottom, realized the demons within, and did something to correct the problem. And he finally earned his degree this year-40+ years after leaving school. But most of all, Joe got his dignity back. I’m quite sure that he would show Ken how he did it, if only Mr. Stabler would ask for the help.

Joe Kines
If something happens to the Snake and he loses his position as color commentary, as I think it will happen. I say we get a petition for Joe kines to take over. I would love to hear his gravelly voice talking about Alabama football. That half-time interview when he was interim(sp) caoch was the best. I am not saying that we would be able to understand him but, that is what the TV is for.
Bad decisions come from a lack of experience, most experience comes from bad decisions.
