Scouting Clemson: We've Got Links!
A whopping THREE of them! Hey, it's the offseason, cut me some slack.
First up, the Pigskin Podcast has their ACC edition up. They discussed the Tigers and the rest of the ACC with Clemson beat writer Greg Wallace. I'll be on the show this week talking about Alabama and the SEC (I believe it will go up Wednesday).
SMQ has all your "put up or shut up" info on Tommy Bowden.
Finally, here's a good article on the questions Clemson must answer this fall.

Aaron Kelly is going to be a problem.
If Bama can find a DB to cover him 1 on 1, we can pile everyone in the box to stop the run and pressure Harper. Can it be done? Hell yes! Will it? Well, they have all of fall camp to get ready.
"Well Eli, Smokey just came out of the tunnel, and he's about 100 yards away from me now, and if I had my deer rifle I believe I could drop him, back to you Eli" -- Jerry Duncan's comments to Eli Gold just prior to kickoff against Tennessee.

Kelly...
I don’t know about Kelly, I really don’t.
He’s definitely a good receiver, no doubt about that one, but with that said I really do not think he is elite by any stretch of the imagination. He’s not really a big play threat - only averaged 12 yards per catch last year (compare that to 16 for D.J. Hall the past two years), and he only had three catches of more than 30 yards last year - and though he’s a solid receiver, he’s also someone that needs a lot of balls thrown his way to rack up a large amount of production.
Moreover, he was neutralized in several games last year. Georgia Tech shut him down, keying their upset victory. He posted huge numbers against VT, but only because Clemson threw 66 passes and a ton of them went his way. Both Maryland and Duke kept him at bay. He did have a pretty good day against Boston College, but ultimately dropped the game-winning touchdown pass. And against Auburn, he barely even touched the ball.
I think, at the end of the day, that Kelly is mainly just a piece of the puzzle. He’s not an elite player, and he’s not going to be the type of player that can singlehandedly beat us. He has, and can, be neutralized.
