The RBR Weekly Poll: Week Four
Since most of those are highly unlikely to happen (except Tulsa/Arkansas?), your pants should be pretty safe throughout the non-conference portion of the season. This week, we'll look at our own beloved Tide's recent proclivity towards head scratching losses and ponder which "trap" game on the schedule worries you, the RBR reader, most.

Arkansas
I must say that I can’t really fathom ever chalking up Arkansas as “trap game’ considering how close the series has been since they joined the conference in 1992. Even though I voted for Ole Miss, I’m kind of surprised MSU is in 3rd after taking it to us two years in a row.
Considering no one expects them...
....to do much in Petrino’s first year, this year it’s a trap game.
I've got to say...
Ole Miss. Most of the time we find a way to win the game, but this year with some of the talent they have and crazy Nutt as the coach, we better not be looking past them or taking a win for granted.
Gotta be Arkansas State
Ole Miss and Arkansas are losable, but that doesn’t make them trap games. And if Mississippi State is a trap game for anyone, it’s a trap game for them. That leaves Arkansas State. Now, you can make the argument that we might look past Ole Miss to UT, but by that logic, Arkansas State is doubly dangerous. Sandwiched between UT and LSU, I can see us gloating in victory over UT, looking ahead to LSU, and not getting up for the Indians. However, I can also see us losing to UT, and instead of using that to motivate us the following week, the players mailing it in for the Indians and saving it for LSU. It’s also worth noting that Arky St has two weeks to prepare for us and other than their game against Texas A&M, the Tide is their sole BCS opponent. In other words, for all intents and purposes, their date at Brian Dennehy is Arkansas State’s bowl game. They will be up and will bring their A game, whatever that means on that day. All of this taken together just doesn’t add up in our favor. Now, I hope I’m wrong and we win the game by 4-5 TDs. However, until I actually see that happening I’m officially worried about November 1.
