Your RBR Word of the Day: chimerical

chimerical \ky-MER-ih-kuhl; -MIR-; kih-\, adjective:
1. Merely imaginary; produced by or as if by a wildly fanciful imagination; fantastic; improbable or unrealistic.
2. Given to or indulging in unrealistic fantasies or fantastic schemes.

Auburn fans are awfully quick to forget their chimerical national title claims when talking their ridiculous "Bama's gonna make up another national title for this" smack.

Does anyone else notice

how obessesed they are with the Alabama program? If this was a real world deal with a member of the fairer sex we would have sworn out a restraining order by now.

As for Johns, this is sad no matter what program it is. Anyone who will mock or make jokes about it – Alabama, Auburn, or otherwise – are below dirt as far as I am concerned. I have friends who made the same ‘wrong choices’ and are now paying dearly for it – as are their families. Those who have chosen to place their OCD over their football program over the well being of a human being should be ashamed.

Speaking of aubbie's shutting their mouths...

Why do aubs continue to boast of one national championship. The FACT of the matter is that Auburn was not Auburn until 1960 when the name was officially changed to Auburn. The national Championship goes to API in 1957…which was not known as Auburn Universtiy. I don’t understand why Bama fans put up with this bragging…
and check out this site when they are boasting of an 1897 Auburn team photo with coach John Heisman, far right….http://thewareaglereader.wordpress.com/
This is so pathetic…check out the REAL history of Auburn on Wikipedia and you will all be surprised they changed their name 4 times until the 4th time it was Auburn.
There IS NO tradition at Auburn…they just evolved…my respect to them for evolving into a top Universtiy though, seriously, but please stop boasting of a tradition when you are only 48 years old!!!!! Look at what you have accomplished though in 48 years…brag about that…leave the ‘war eagle’ story back in 1892 when the school was API, Alabama Polytechnic Institute! And you still had the name Alabama in the school name! You weren’t Auburn for another 116 years!!!

From Wikipedia…
Auburn University (AU or Auburn) is a state university located in Auburn, Alabama, U.S. With more than 24,100 students and 1,200 faculty, it is one of the largest universities in the state.[6] Auburn was chartered on February 1, 1856, as the East Alabama Male College,[7] a private liberal arts school affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. The college was donated to the state of Alabama in 1872, when it became the state’s public land-grant university under the Morrill Act and was renamed the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama. In 1892, the college became the first four-year coeducational school in the state. The college was renamed the Alabama Polytechnic Institute (API) in 1899. In 1960, its name was officially changed to Auburn University; it had been popularly known as “Auburn” for many years.

:)

Stick to your last 48 years when you were officailly named Auburn!

You may want to find a new source. A barner alumnus created Wikipedia.

oh, one more thing

Auburn was not API in 1892; it was still Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama.

I stand corrected...

I just got excited…I know their history. I just wish they would stop trying to equal Alabama because they can’t. They are obsessed with everything “bammer”.
They are content with just beating Alabama instead of reaching for the NC. They fill their schedules with non conference easy wins and then wonder why they are not taken seriously….oh my…I’ve talked myself into actually feeling sorry for them….poor barners.
