Bama Clemson 7PM CST on ABC
The Alabama Clemson Game will be at 7PM Central Standard time, and shown on ABC. It will be a regional broadcast, Michigan State and Cal will also be shown on ABC at the same time. For one not going to the game, this is great news, it should be in HD and available for the majority of the country and particularly at least the South. Also, I like the late start time on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.

Good news...
One of the big reasons Saban wanted the games in Atlanta was exposure, and having the game nationally televised on a channel literally everyone gets - including those still stuck with bunny ears - will only increase exposure.
Also, apparently Clemson will be the “home” team and Alabama will be the “road” team, just like last year with FSU. You would think we would be the home team, but apparently those two things occurred independent of each other.

Home Team
Does being the home team make a difference in anything besides uniform? First choice of locker room and sideline perhaps? Anything else?
Nah...
The facilities are nice either way, and the sidelines don’t matter in a dome. Moreover, the tickets are split 50/50, so it’s a moot point.

coin toss
i think that means we get to call it. (tails, tails, tails, tails, guys…...tails wins like 52 percent of the time i swear to god…)
espn
i thought it was supposed to be on espn. now i probably won’t get to see being on the west coast. i’ll probably get stuck with michgan and cal. how lame!
Well...
It was a toss-up game that would have gone to either of the two. We have a contract with ABC, who also owns ESPN. They could have put it on ESPN, but ultimately chose to air it in primetime on ABC.
And actually, it’s still technically on ESPN, now that ABC has gayed things up by branding all of their original sports programming as “ESPN on ABC.”

I'm in the same boat
living on the West Coast. But I will have ESPN Gameplan on DirecTV and it should be available to us. If you don’t have DirecTV you could probably find a bar that’s showing it. If not, you can listen to it on the radio through the internet (Yahoo offers a service for like 4.95 a month that can be cancelled anytime).
If you already have...
...a subscription to Crimson Tradition(now TideTV), the Yahoo radio broadcast is free. I like to mute the TV and listen to Eli and Snake do the broadcast anyway. The TV announcers usually make me crazy(or crazier, as the case may be).
If that
is crazy then count me in because I always do the same even though I tend to have a delay difference than the tv it is still better to hear alabama announcers calling the game.
