I jumped up and down after that TD and was screaming at all the nay-sayers that were at my house watching with me (mostly Auburn fans who had been telling me they were going to blow it all game). I was just going nuts, and I remember looking back at the TV as they were lining up for the PAT, and I knew what was going to happen. My girlfriend even asked me what was wrong when my expression when from extreme jubilation to utter panic when I realized they still had to kick the PAT to tie the ball game. (I sometimes forget about that fact in the heat of the moment). And I told her, “Pflugner is about to miss this…”. It’s almost like I knew 100% that he was going to miss. Seriously ruined my week.

that I heard this joke for the first time (though it’s an oldie and has been used on far more kickers than Pflugner):

Did you hear that Pflugner tried to kill himself after missing the PAT? He tried to hang himself, but couldn’t kick the chair out from under him…

they wont do home and home series. its why we scheduled appy state instead of hawaii. we told them we wouldnt travel. the AD came out with a statement we needed 8 home games to afford the stadium renovations. that and notre dame isnt generally this awful, so they feel we already are poised to have at least one good opponent on the schedule. utah is about as good as a second OOC game as it gets. we scheduled them after the meyer BCS bowl. it sickens me…
