Eager or excessive desire, especially for wealth; greed; avarice.

| It's funny how often the people who cry hardest and loudest over how the wanderlust and cupidity of coaches is taking the college game one step further towards the NFL are the same ones that cry hardest and loudest for college football to actually take one step further towards professionalization with a playoff system. |

Pat Forde
is an unrelenting spermbag. I would like to see a playoff and I would also like to see him writing for a bi-monthly rag in North Dakota.
Did...
Did you have to use such creepy picture?

Not so fast...
Say what you will about Forde… I have no real like or dislike for the man. However, I don’t see how crying for a college playoff system is necessarily progress towards professionalization of the sport.
We all know that Division I football is the ONLY level of the sport that does not have a playoff to determine it’s champion. This is primarily due to the fact that so much money is being made by the current system. (particularly by the power conferences)
It is frequently stated that professional sports are a business just like any other (particularly whenever a player gets traded.) and therefore tend to make their decisions based on whatever makes the most business sense. (i.e. profit for the organization)
By that rational, the current system we have is just as “professional” if not more so than moving to a playoff system.
but that’s just my opinion and you know what they say about those…. :)
