William Ming Commits

We have big news tonight on the recruiting front, as William Ming has committed to Alabama.

Ming is a defensive end prospect out of Athens, Alabama, and is rated a four-star prospect by both major recruiting services. The 6'4, 260 pound Ming is widely considered one of the best players in the state of Alabama, and drew serious interest from just about every major program in the country. His offer list included the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Notre Dome. He could have went to any school in the country, but ultimately chose the Tide.

And there are no qualifying concerns with Ming. He sports a 4.0 GPA, and may actually end up the valedictorian at Athens High.

Either way, it's great news for those who bleed crimson. For the second year in a row under our beloved Nicktator, it's nothing more than a given that we will again rack up all of the state's elite talent, and Ming is just another piece of the puzzle.

Roll Tide!!!!!

Welcome to the Capston, Mr. Ming!

Not that I really care, but it’ll be interesting to see how Auburn reacts to more and more Alabama commits wihle sticking with the Load Up On Sleepers Until We Have No More Room for Actual Good Players plan.

Awesome to see the addition of more D-line depth! No doubt we’ll be seeing some fierce D-line play like LSU has had for several years now.

I see your 4 star DE and raise you a 5 star DT.

I don't care who you are...

That comment WAS funny…even if it came from a Who.

Ming the Merciless

Great step toward the goal Saban laid out in his first press conference—making sure other teams hate to play us. Next year is going to be a lot of fun.

King Ming...

I saw his MySpace page posted somewhere a while back and that’s what he calls himself. The page had Bama’s script A logo on it, so this wasn’t a big surprise. Besides, he’s extremely smart. Where else would he choose to go?

I saw...

I saw that too, but I’m always a bit skeptical of reading too much into those. After all, there is no guarantee that those things genuine, and anyone can make one if they want.

I remember there were probably 20 Julio profiles last year, and several of them looked to be very legitimate.
