When the teams play on Aug. 30 in Atlanta's Georgia Dome and on ABC Sports, they will split $3,832,060, the anticipated profits for the game. That equals $1.9 million per team.
According to the contracts - obtained using a public records request - beer will also be available at the concessions stands. Sales will be cut off at halftime.

Wow...
That right there is a good enough reason to schedule an OOC game at a neutral site like the Georgia Dome, plus the recruiting benefit. Does anyone know how much profit we usually make on a home game at BDS?

Profit
To be presumptive, as I’ve worked a bit with live events, that varies wildly based on the opponent, how many tickets they’ve sold, their agreement, and whether or not the game is on PPV. However, if tickets were $20 each (which they never are) that’s at 1.8 million dollar gross with 90,000 people attending at Bryant Denny. Granted, there are some expenses, and the other school gets a cut, but I think the profit made from a game at the Georgia Dome is merely comparable, as opposed to dwarfing what they would make at Bryant Denny.

I think...
I think the biggest economic impact is not on UA, but on the local Tuscaloosa economy that gets a huge boost when all of those people descend on T’town for a game.
I highly doubt that UA is losing money with these games. I figure they are making as much money as they would with a home game in BDS, if not a bit more.

BEER!!
That’s good news. I was worried that since it was run by the Chik-Fil-A bowl people there wouldn’t be any alcohol. I hope they have some Sweetwater or Terrapin in there…gotta support the local breweries!

The best I remember...
The best I remember from the Peach Bowl a couple of years ago, all they had was Budweiser, Miller, and Heineken.
The Bud and Miller was like $6.50 for a bottle, and the Heineken was $7.50. You’ll probably pay $8-$10 now.

beer
that is way to much for a bottle of crappy beer. I might pay 8 bucks for like a newcastle or something, but bud light or miller light… no sir.

Shakers
I always tape a few minis to the stem of the shaker and let the shaker cover it up. You can only put two-three but, they never even think about checking that and you can walk in with it in your hands.
Auburn fans are like slinkys... not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Brilliant...
...and very creative. I’ve never thought of that. That’ll double up my minis.
