Rod Woodson Commits

We have even more great news on the recruiting trails, as today the Olive Branch, Mississippi safety Rod Woodson committed to the Tide.

Woodson is a 6'0, 200 pound safety prospect, rated a four-star by Scout.com. He drew offers from just about all of the top programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Michigan, and all of the Mississippi schools as well. He is unanimously considered one of the top players in the state of Mississippi.

I'll have more up on Woodson later in the day.

Is he related to the long time Steelers corner Rod Woodson?

I always get Rod Woodson and Charles Woodson confused...

Rod played for Purdue (I think), and Charles won the Heisman at Michigan.

Probably not...

The long-time NFL player Rod Woodson was from Fort Wayne, Indiana.

I highly doubt they are related.

Damn it!

I’m never going to get that stupid recruiting widget looking right if these players won’t give me enough time between commitments!

I could make a joke about Todd and his widget

But I assume you want to keep this a family friendly site.

Hope he can...

Hit like one of my favorite 49er, Ronnie Lott, and also play safety like he did also.

ESPN write-up said that he can lay some serious wood.

Todd, quit complaining about changing your widget. At least we have good players wanting to come to Alabama.

I was being sarcastic and I could read your sarcasm.

Was going to

say something really lame about Rod Woodson retiring from football, but I see I’m a little late. The story of my life
