Holy Josh Williford Batman...

6’7” 345? That’s a large American. Hell, give him the ball… I don’t care if he’s a one star or no star, you can’t teach size, but you can teach him to be one mean lineman.

I don't know how talented the kid is...

but just looking at the picture of DJ Fluker makes me poop my pants.

Updates...

I figured I’d throw in my two cents on the guys that Todd has listed…

DJ Fluker: Forget the defensive tackle talk, this guy is an offensive lineman. His wingspan is unreal, and he has great feet movement for his size. This is our future left tackle… and there is a good chance he gets a fifth star on one of the major recruiting services.

Darius McKellar: Things have been quite with him lately. He’s firm, but an injury has kept him out of the camp circuit.

Chance Warmack: This kid dominated at the recent Nike combine in Tuscaloosa, and we’ve got one hell of a player on our hands with this kid. He is huge, he can move, and he has a mean streak. Nothing else is needed to be a damn good guard in this league.

Kellen Williams: Coming from a run-based offensive attack, the major concern with Williams is a long of athleticism needed to play tackle. Fortunately, Williams posted some very impressive numbers at the recent Under Armor / Scout.com Combine in Atlanta, and the bottom line is the athleticism is there. He’s going to need some mechanical fine tuning once he arrives, but the raw tools are there .

Johnnie Farms: One of the major recruiting battles left on the board, it’s Alabama v. Florida for Farms, and he loves both. This is a battle that will pit the SEC’s two best recruiters together, so get out the popcorn for this one.

Marcus Hall: One of the nation’s best tackle prospects… he will be a Buckeye.

Morgan Moses: A tackle prospect in some ways similar to Andre Smith, Moses is high on the Tide, but he’ll probably stay in-state and either go to Virginia or Virginia Tech.

Anthony Steen: A great guard prospect… the kid is practically a bodybuilder. Moreover, though he is from western Mississippi, he grew up a ‘Bama fan, his parents are ‘Bama fans, and we are his leader. Unfortunately, his academics aren’t in good shape, and you know Saban isn’t taking a kid he doesn’t think will qualify. People seem to think he’s smart enough - just a slacker, apparently - and the talent is there, but we’ll just have to wait and see. If we want him, he is ours.

Josh Wiliford: Does not have an Alabama offer. He is a guard prospect, and we told him that we were full at that position. He is getting some interest from LSU - not sure how much though - and I figure he’ll probably end up at Ole Miss.

Williford

Word is he’s getting tons of interest from LSU. He clearly hasn’t been evaluated yet by Rivals (hence the 1-star), but the word around the LSU message boards is that he’s very athletic for his size, and aggressive at the point of attack, but a little underdeveloped. They say his upside is very very good, but he may need a lot of time to reach it.

Sounds right...

Information on Wililford is pretty hard to come by, honestly, so it’s a bit hard to get a read on him.

Logically speaking, though, you would just have to assume that he is a very raw prospect. With his raw size, you have to figure that he would be one of the nation’s top prospects if he were a developed prospect.

I’m thinking he has to be a long-term project.
