Tom Arnold's comments on Julio

Tom Arnold called into Finnebaum this afternoon and said (loosely quoted) "that Jones kid #8 may be the best college receiver I've ever seen. He's unfreakin' believable. He reminds me of Micheal Irvin when he played with the cowboys."

Hope Tom's a better judge of football talent than suitable spouses.

I don't know if I can take 8 more days of waiting...Let's get it on!!!

Also, does anybody else think Clemson might be slightly overrated. I know they appear loaded at the skill positions, but I think they they will be starting 4 new OL's and 2-3 new LB's. I think they will have some difficulties early in the season with that many inexperienced offensive linemen.

Very cool! Wish I’d heard it!

I think that Clemson is,yes, probably overrated on their offensive line. But…their runners and receivers scare me. Hoping we can get to the quarterback often, and that our defense comes to play. I am excited, though, to see what our offense can do against them.

I think it will be a really good game!!

OVERRATED AN UNDERSTATEMENT

Of course the the Clemson tgers are overrated. You have to remember the #s from last year were put up against ACC opponents. I’m not saying the ACC is a bad conference it is just not good ol down and dirty SEC ball. Their backfield will be tested next Saturday, I hope they underestimated us especially from what I’ve read. We are 7pt underdogs.

Rolling with the Tide!!!!

DL

play is going to be huge. They have talented recievers and hopefully Cullen will not have a chance to get to the ball to them. I hope one of our DE breaks out this year. Roll Tide I can not wait.

Auburn fans are like slinkys... not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

If they have...

…more than one quality receiver, it’s news to me. And yes, their O-line is green, but so was Georgia’s last year…although they did struggle early. That backfield is scary good, though. And I can’t wait to watch the game. Roll Tide.

Look up "overrated" in the dictionary ...

And, you’ll find Notre Dame. … But, yeah, Clemson is overrated.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
