"It's disappointing," said Ken Haines, CEO of Raycom Sports. "In the new economics, there's a lot of money involved. We'll be exploring alternative ways we may be able to stay involved with the SEC, but quite honestly, it's too soon right now to really know. We had hoped it wouldn't end this way."
From the Birmingham News. Maybe I'm just cold hearted, but the jilted lover tone cracks me up. "I hope we can still be friends, but I just don't know how it will work...I wish it hadn't ended this way..."

Does this mean...
that us on the west coast will get more SEC games for free? Or does it mean that more games will go to game plan since they can no longer be picked up by other stations?

I'd say...
…at this point…we have no idea what it means…but you’ve got to imagine $150 million a year means they’re planning on showing those games and not just screwing Raycom…which would’ve had a lot smaller pricetag.
