9-3? It could happen accroding to WhatIfSports

For anyone who has not seen it, this has been an interesting series on Foxsports.com...

http://www.whatifsports.com/beyondtheboxscore/default.asp?article=20080810

Each game is simulated 1000 times and the results are spit out with a home winning percentage. In the end, they have us finishing 9-4, losing in the Cotton Bowl to Texas. Either way, it's an interesting read on what the computers think we can do.

Roll Tide!

its not far off

what i predict, but i see our boys winning 2/3 of the tiger games this year, only loosing to LSU and UGA and 1 suprise, so only 3 losses for us but hey whatever, i like what it thinks.

I mean it is a computer and they do such a shitty great job of picking the BCS games each year!

Hell, no! A tie is like kissing your sister!

Spooky

That is EXACTLY what I’ve predicted on this blog, except that I didn’t predict a bowl game. Something tells me that if we play Texas in a bowl, we won’t win. We just can’t ever seem to beat those cow patties.

Still, the close we get to this Saturday’s game, the more I feel (and hope) that I am wrong about us losing to Clemson. Yea for being wrong!

The computers are great,

…but has anyone consulted the only true measure of predictability…the Magic 8 Ball? Let’s give it a shot (and my initial reactions are in parentheses).

Magic 8 Ball, will we beat…

Clemson? Most likely. (Thank you, Lauren Bowden!)
Tulane? My reply is no. (Uh-oh…)
Western Kentucky? It is certain. (Duh!)
Arkansas? My reply is no. (Damn it!)
Georgia? It is certain. (Sweet!)
Kentucky? Outlook good. (It better be.)
Ole Miss? Concentrate and ask again. (Jeez…)
Ole Miss, Mfer? Yes. Definitely. (That’s what I’m talkin’ about.)
Tennessee? Very doubtful. (Phat Phreakin’ Phil!)
Arkansas State? Better not tell you now. (Why not? Is D.J. back since the Giants cut him?)
LSU? Most likely. (I’ll take it.)
Mississippi State? Concentrate and ask again. (What’s with these Mississippi schools?)
Mississippi State? Don’t count on it. (Curses! Croomed again!)
Awbarn? It is certain. (It certainly is. Stick it, Tubs.)

So, there you go. Either 7-5 or 8-4, all depending on that spooky Arkansas State game. Hey, even if we lose to them, plus the set-in-stone losses to Tulane, Arkansas, Tennessee, and MSU, we will still enjoy wins over Clemson, Georgia, LSU, and the Awbarn Boogers! I’ll take that trade, mister!

Now we can all sit back, relax, and know how the games will play out in advance. None of that old, Gene Stallings era sweating it out ’til the last minute. Enjoy, people!

It's sad that we'd not yet...

consulted the 8-ball, however, if one were to couple that with the responses of… say… a paper fortune teller (you know, the ones that look like a square pacman) you may, in fact be onto something. Like I always say, “Two utterly useless pieces of garbage are better than one”.
